not a terrible hire but I think they missed the boat getting the ex-Miami coach.
Jesus Christ. I'm taking a sabbatical.

This feels like a "comfort hire." It's almost as if Mack wants someone around who won't undermine his authority and will stick around for a while. Hopefully he works out because Mack is letting this guy determine his legacy.
Great situation for us IMO. He might turn out to be a good one or he might not but all of Texas' recent DC hires have been "can't miss" guys and Austin is definitely questionable.
Which UT DC "missed"?
Of course, I think UT's talent can make any DC coming in look great.
Don't pay him any attention--he's been all over texas' nuts all week.
Gators D was 9th overall last year, that's fairly good. Their scoring D sucked but so did their offense...
It seemed to be all but done, but nothing official has gone down.

The Board of Regents apparently have called a special meeting on Friday to discuss both OC and DC positions. Encouraging if true.
Mack Brown, that guy is finished. My entire mindset regarding everything Mack Brown means, does, or has accomplished has been completely reset back to the 2003 era. Total underachieving joke.
I actually hope we suck again next year so he hurry up and gets fired.
do I need to speak in sheep for you?
read it too fast......thought you said "but not all of...."
apparently you've been butthurt all week.
who would you get that would do a better job?
Depends on what you mean by better
Who wouldn't have won a le with an NFL-loaded offense and defense including the most dominant force of offense in NCAA history?
Vince and Colt both won despite Mack not because of him. Vince's le only delayed everyone hating Mack and then we just happened to strike gold twice with McCoy. When McCoy leaves not only is Texas the same team from 2003, but even softer than ever before.
Mack spoke of en lement, and how it adversely effected the team and coaching staff. He said this himself. Well it applies to him as well. No head coach lets his entire program from recruiting-to-the product on the field get this ty this fast.
Mack's finished. I could care less who they bring in as long as they have a strong desire to recruit and hire coaches who have a drive to succeed.
, the horns were just in the NC game last year and you're already calling for his head?
Before Mack UT was mediocre, but Mack's never been really known for his Xs and Os. He's the best salesman in the country. It's why UT is #1 in recruiting and #1 in money making.
I know hornfan is freaking out right now, but cutting Brown out now would be beyond stupid........and UT is not that stupid.
