Well, the Spurs wouldn't really have deserved a win tonight. Letting the opponent shoot over 60% should get you a loss on most nights.
Yeah - and just last week, all the sports guys were commenting on how the Spurs were playing such great defense - Spurs just couldn't stand being the talk of the town.

I told you that you guys would start losing once your schedule got harder, its been a joke until recently.

Beat with With the zebras helping you and with no kg.... Can't beat Boston Orlando Miami or Dallas (when healthy, with or without caron)
absolutely. Spurs cannot beat good teams. i'm with you. in fact, most Spurs fans are with you. we wish we could root for a team like the Mavs who are actually good.

Its just a terrible play call. You can't diagram a play trying to get yourself an offensive rebound. At that point everyone should just be crashing the boards when the shot goes up.

Well, at least we played defense in this game. Nothing big to whine about after this loss. Move on to the next game and hopefully Gino will get his groove back with the break
We actually did NOT play defense.. at least GOOD defense, and Manu was about the only reason why we were able to keep it close.

They had good defensive spurts though. Its going to take time but there's a foundation to build around.

I promise you Pop is happy they lost and didn't pull out another fluke win.
    Again with this.

Just like Pop was happy they lost to NY so he "could send a message". Did they not get it?

Manu has to give that ball up
Dyess attacking the rim is a way better option that a pump fake off balance 3 over 2 defenders
    And Richard Jefferson had regressed

With Dallas right on their heels for the division lead, I don't see how he could think any loss is a good one.

No . Just give Manu the ball and get the out of the way. Run a screen if TP has the ball, but Manu's much better just isolating.
    EXACTLY

If we're gonna let Manu play closer, then isolate and give him ing space. He's ing great at that.

But after TWO ING GAMES of HORRIBLE spacing, we run a PnR for a Manu three???? And don't give Manu any pass option????

Pop could have won this mother ing game

This really really pisses me off.
When a career EIGHTY EIGHT percent free throw shooter chokes two free throws away and gives you a gift, you play high percentages.....we did exactly the opposite.

This one's going to hurt even more once we all dwell on it.

Boston shooting over 60%... after letting the Knicks shoot 56%...
The late push came from steals, not actual stops. We couldn't stop anybody on set plays. It's very very bad.

Pop can keep on pulling his schticks... I don't know we have the personnel to really become the defensive team we need to be.

Without defense we're never going to win it all so we might as well figure it out now.

Also what has hurt the Spurs recently (besides Manu's play) is that guys like Neal are struggling. Those 3 balls aren't flowing quite as nice right now.

Late games when Shaq fouls out are when we lose leads, because we have Jermaine O'Neal as our backup center now. (That Turkish rookie is hurt.) And Doc doesn't trust Jermaine to do anything but pull down rebounds.
Jermaine was the one who fouled out, though.

We lost a close back-to-back game against a very good team on their home court. On to the next game...

You and I both know Pop doesn't give a about the regular season. The players may have come in and got him to try harder for the entire season and not give away games but Pop is still Pop. I'm not saying its what I would do; I'm just pointing out Pop's MO for over 15 years now.
