Pretty solid and takes an insane turn. But also nowhere near DDL or PTA’s best work.

Wow. I didn't think it was that long ago. I would have guessed that the first Iron Man was prior.
    Holy , time flies.

Pretty great cast for Zodiac though.

Yea, a purple-haired lady instead of a tranny leading the ship in Star Wars.
And good tucking in The Shape of Water.

I watched The Shape of Water. I can see why you like it so much.

sexuals and bestiality is aplenty there.

Agreed. He's excellent. Love the way he sets the mood for his crime movies/shows.

What a piece of . I saw nearly the whole movie because I kept saying it'll get good. It'll get to the point any time now.

Tuned out around where all the family members came in when the one guy died.

Javier Couldn't save this one. And he supposedly played God.

Imagine the abject confusion and resulting rage of all the Hunger Games girlfans who thought it would be some kind of millennial Terms of Endearment.

    The Wailing

Never ever have I heard so many South Koreans demonstrate their varied type of screams.
The little daughter is possibly the best child screamer of all time. The lead actor has an unbelievable range of screams.
Also good for watching bodies bend and crack. Some very distinctive cracking.
    Almost 2.5 hrs of sounds.

    9/10 on sound engineering.

Phantom Thread - 9/10. Maybe I'm getting soft in my old age, but I thought it was a uniquely beautiful love story. Never really wows you at any particular time, but it was a delightful 2 hour experience.

I hope DDL ain't done...he's my DiCaprio to you. The man has just such much to offer

i saw the trailer for Phanton Thread and thought there's no way this story can be compelling at all, but I trust DDL... will probably give it a watch, maybe this weekend

Like I said this isn't one of those "hey let's catch a flick" films if you're looking for excitement. If you like PTA and DDL this won't be your favorite (like mono said), but it has some irresistibly beautiful moments (no ). Take the Mrs to it, as long as she's not a talker

    12 Strong

They did get a little carried away with the battle scences but other than that an outstanding flick. Really hard to believe none of the 12 got killed.

The scene where the Warlord/General calls the Taliban....hahaha~~~~

    Very well done.
