Yup, she should have been one of first to die.
Army of the Dead was cool. The daugher was annoying asf tho.
Yup, she should have been one of first to die.
That le was a dead giveaway on how ty it must be
Those Who Wish Me Dead
3/10. Lifetime movie level script/plot. Low budget. I'd be pissed if I had paid money to see this at the theater.
Saint Maud
I guess it's a horror movie but it's more in the vein as Midsommer or Hereditary.
Not bad. 6/10
nobody - 6/10
the first half that was kinda grounded i found much better than the ending, when they went balls to the walls.
once upon a time in america - 8.5/10
were the movies good back in the day. No wonder the standards have gone to when people think Marvel films are a masterpiece.
I'm sure there are plenty of good movies today, it's just that Marvel movies have that marketing money thanks to Disney
And back in the days you also had a lot of terible movies lol
yea there were movies since forever, but lately i have no idea what was really a great film that i watched and that it came in the last 10 years. Perhaps Parasite...
I thought surely you were off but I couldn’t really think of much. Went though a couple of lists and there really weren’t that many great movies. Ex Machina is probably my favorite. But maybe we see so many movies now that it’s hard to be really impressed or see something that hasn’t been done to death.
Absolutely.
yea, thats a good one. I am sure there are ones that are great, but I also cant name them from the top of my head, while I can go to the 90's, 80's and even 70's and name them with no problem.
You mentioning EX Machina reminded me of ''Upgrade'', which I think is another good Sci-fi movie. It also cost like 3M, but looks like it cost much more.
upgrade was fantastic
remember thinking it just felt like a better version of Venom at the time

not a movie, but that Blue Bloods two hour season finale last week was pretty awesome and epic. Might as well could have been a movie. 9.5/10
army of the dead - 2/10
jj abrams finally has a rival in using lens flares. The only good thing in the movie was the tiger kill. They also shoud have cut all the serious parts from the movie, as the movie feels fun one minute and then serious the next. There are films that make that work, but a ty director like Snyder cant do it. Story and acting were also bad, especially from the pilot. It was also nice that they tried to make us sympathize with the zombies. , just make the bad guys bad. Not every bad guy should I feel sorry for. Oh and Zack, just finish a movie for once. No need to make it look like there will be a sequel.
edit - I just heard that the pilot was inserted in post production and all of her scenes were on green screen, so i can see why her performance is off.

A quiet place 2
8/10- Dope sequal and on par with the 1st one. Hopefully the 3rd is a prequel to the 1st one.
the great escape - 8/10
good characters, good acting, very nice shot and a simple story. It does drag at the end when steve mcqueen has his motorcycle escape, but at least the scenery looks nice.
Cruella- 8/10
I've never seen 101 Dalmations but i enjoyed Cruella.
This is probably the old movie that I think I want to watch and never start it.
yeap, 60 years old. It's also 3 hours and pretty slow until the last 30 minutes. I watched it just cause it was on tv and i couldnt sleep.
-Into the Grizzly Maze- (2015)
Stellar cast with Thornton and Scott Glenn.
Absolute garbage. I would not hit a dog in the ass with this.
FYI:::If you have cable EPIX has a free preview this weekend 4-7. I looked thru it and they have over 2k of movies, but I noticed some of them still aren't free, so, it a little disappointing.
AVA on Netflix with Jessica Chastain, Colin Ferrel and John Malcovich.
Nothing original about an assassin having the company turn on her but I still like these types of movies. This one went off the rails in the middle of the movie and never got back on. The fighting scenes were pretty mediocre too. I'm guessing they filmed during covid-19.
2/10

-True Romance- has shown up over on HBOMAX. Clean and bright almost 30 years on.
Exposes why we miss Dennis Hopper so desperately. Total loss.
