Watch ane
I was really looking forward to The Matrix 4 but that was pretty bad. The 21st century has been pretty bad for cinema lovers.
Watch ane
I can't tell if this is a recommendation or a comparison for bad movies. Is ane good?
Ghostbusters Afterlife - Glorified Fan Fiction stranger things crossover. Which I guess is most franchise cinema is glorified fan fiction at this point. Egon as a ghost was morbid and weird. But overall enjoyable movie. The 1 to 1 throwbacks to the original were too much. Luckily our beloved Paul Rudd and Carrie Coon saved the day.
It's the weirdest movie I have seen in a while. I thought it was great.
FYI, IFC is airing "Scarface" tomorrow Saturday. They too have shoved it into a 4 hour time slot, but the good part is they'll show it uncut, with commercials. So, I'm going to DVR it. Even the cut version on AMC was a blast last weekend. So I am looking forward to that tomorrow. The kicker? I got the er on the DVD shelf and won't touch it. There is just something about getting a DVD, putting it in and then having to watch it thru that venue. It's all psychological and has me completely unnerved.
Damn....that was weird af. But it was great. The weirdness never got in the way of the story. Even though I'm not sure what to make of it all.
Welp guess i'm watching ane this weekend. I love a good horror film.
I don't think I'd call it a horror film really.
Also, I watched The Card Counter with Oscar Isaac.
The first part was interesting but then it just went off the rails.
It could have been a good movie but it gets ridiculous.
Haha, that was exactly how I felt, and I thought only weird could kinda explain it. Glad I didn't say more.
Finally got around to watching Pig. The previews were borderline bait-and-switch but still a very good movie. Just not at all what I expected. 8/10
Don't Look Up - 3/10
Lowbrow Hollywood liberal pandering. Satire was about as biting and insightful as a Babylon Bee article. Jonah Hill was funny but overall a miss.
No Sudden Moves - 6/10
Slow start, Cheadle is good but not as a leading character. Del Toro is out of his element here, like him better as a bad ass. Decent overall cast, story hard to follow. Soderbergh can't get away from the Ocean's 11 team, can't get away from the formula either. Ray Liotta solid as always, dude is a beast.
Holy Brandon Frazier is a whale.
Pig
Really good movie. Acting was extremely good and storyline was unexpected. A bit unsettling at times, but it’s also emotional as well.
8.75/10
FFS what would you call it?
It's at least part horror.
Malignant 9/10
From that dude who did Saw, Insidious, Conjuring.
Anyone remotely into horror needs to see this movie lol. Goes completely off the rails. Not at all what I expected. I'm an idiot for not watching it at least a couple times when it was free on HBOMax
Swan Song- 8/10
IDK...sci-fi? It's hard to categorize. "Horror" isn't the first thing that comes to mind though.
Found -Surviving the Game- ('94) on TUBI this morning. Seen it many times, but not for years.
I still can't figure out how the Ice T character gets back to civilization. The Rutger Hauer character destroyed one plane, and flies out in the only other aircraft. We're then shown "T" getting up off the ground still by the cabin. There are no other survivors there. 3 days later we're told he's back in Seattle.
Appreciate it.
King of New York - 7/10
Much like Scarface, this movie has been overrated by rappers, but it’s much better than Scarface. Fantastic performance by Laurence Fishburne, we have Caruso at his best, and Walken is fun + over the top, but not overdoing it like Pacino.
Yeah Jonah Hill was the only decent part of that.
Love that look on Rabenga's face when Manolo calls his name. Libertad!
Matrix 4 : 0/10 What the was that
Eternals : 4/10, best parts were the post-credit scenes
No time to die : 6/10
