I hated Rocky. Every boxing movie has ridiculous unrealistic fights that make Gatti-Ward I look like Mayweather vs Mayweather.

Just honoring its legacy, TBH, I'd rather watch Bull Durham for the second or third time than Rocky(s) for the umpteenth time.

Yea, I think they did a bad job of simulating the boxing with no blocking.

NCFOM agitates people because it's a noir in western clothing. I don't see how people could get upset after the subversion precedent had been set years before by McCabe and Mrs. Miller and Unforgiven, now it's just modern day.

The Natural copped out by not subverting expectations like the novel did, but it was the right move in the Reagan era.

Lots of great films mentioned here. I keep coming back to Lone Star. After all this time, I still can't think of any way that $3 million movie could be improved.
