HCA don't mean when you play like this against the elite of the league.

take your homer glasses off, man.

I don't think Splitter is our savior (like a couple idiots who believed we had a savior in the d-league for a couple seasons) but he's the only guy on the Spurs who has enough balls to play in the post. Splitter needs to play way more than Blair.

Ya. I am referring to games getting out of hand. Should have clarified.
In that case, yes. It's very concerning. I'm still convinced they'll step it up come playoff time, but I'm a bit worried that may not be enough. Might be considered the most epic NBA choke of all time if we lose 1st or second round...

    Spurs are not contenders
If the Spurs aren't contenders that neither are the ing HEAT.

LA Lakers fans can talk and that's about it.

Pop is on the hook for this one.

Not playing Duncan and Parker in the second quarter did them in.

I mean, its inconceivable that he would not want the best players in when the game is that close.

I just didn't understand that? What was the point of that?

Was pop looking to see how many points they can go down before mounting a comeback.

    Epic fail.
I was thinking the same thing at halftime. It was too obvious. Pop pulled Tony and Tim for most of the second quarter precisely so Miami could win this going away. Why? Probably for the purposes that most NBA fans don't want to consider. And that is that the league and its games are one big ing rigged job.

The problem I have, whether they are coasting or not, is that every contender is going the opposite direction of the Spurs. They are all starting to play their best ball. Spurs have a lot of guys really struggling (main players) and there really hasn't been a sign of recovery.
yeah i have been noticing that too...it is pretty deflating tbh.

TBH, the Lakers and the Heat NEEDED to get wins in these games against the Spurs. The Spurs didnt NEED the wins as desperately as LA and Miami did.....

TD was -4 in 30 minutes. When he goes to the bench our D is gone. Let's hope he can play 38 minutes or so in the Playoffs and let's see how we can survive on those minutes he's out

Is it too late to find a quality big man somewhere? Obviously the Spurs FO made a blunder by not trading for one or picking up one of the waivers from the other teams. They only have two quality big men, and they are both old. The others---Bonner--too slow and unathletic on defense, Splitter--too slow, too green, and too passive. Bonner---too short.
They sure seem to be having problems lately with the teams that have quality big men.

Other than the Lakers, all the other contenders arent going in the opposite direction if you ask me. The Mavs recently lost 2 out of their last 3 games and blown big leads even in wins. Boston has lost a couple times in the past week. Miami was on a 5-game losing streak until the LA win....

I am amazingly ok with the big loss here. Nothing from Manu really, poor game from hill mediocre game from neal and Jefferson checked out for the second half as well. Pop set-up the line up stupidly in the end of the first quarter and the majority of the second, and the spurs were still in it as the momentum was killed often in a calculating fashion. This was set-up to be a story book redemption for the heat, and I doubt they make it out of the east, I am worried about about lakers in a series as a game seven is anyones game and the spurs are likely looking at a couple of slanted games.
