Splitter was excellent. The only downer was picking up two fouls in the last 90 seconds of the half, but his stock has to be rising as fast as Blair's is falling.
agreed. Cant teach size with a little skill

Spurs announcers said Splitter with at least 2 blocks but none credited on nba.com??
    I noticed that too.

Spurs are lucky to be up with the way they were playing. Pop better have an epic halftime speech for them because a lot of guys are playing so horribly out there.

Bonner-Blair combo is just so bad out there. Pathetic. Tiago's really showing us what we were missing with all those DNP-CD's this season.

Yeah, I really hope he can continue to get minutes once Duncan returns. It seems he can bring the same type of rebounding that Blair offers and is miles ahead defensively with his size.

When Td returns, you may see a bonner-splitter combo if Blair doesn't wake up...

How do you know they didn't feel more comfortable bringing him along and preparing him in practice, and that's why he's having success? This was not the same guy we saw the last 3 weeks of December, culminating with his embarrassment against the Lakers on the 28th. He is a completely different player within the system now. Just watch how he works with Tony on the PnR, this is all new and something he's learned through great coaching. +1 Pop

Last time I do this, If you're looking for the Spurs local game, PM me for it.
It's in Spanish, but they're using the FSSW feed.

Oh, and it's really sad to see RJ being just another 3-pt shooter.

honestly, our defense would be beastly against the Lakers if we started TD/Splitter with Dice matching up against Odom.

Pops failure to see this and refusal to play Tiago all year really has screwed this team over....

I think when TD comes back he and Splitter need to be starting together. Where the Spurs went wrong was breaking up the Dice-Bonner combo. They have terrific numbers together as a unit with Manu-Hill-Neal as a second unit.

He's definitely deserved more PT but it's not like we were losing games because he wasn't on the floor.... I hope he does continue to play once Duncan returns though.

you're a ing idiot. tiago showed that pick n roll ability with Tony even early in th season.

its obvious he just needed time with the started to make an impact on this team and was being held back all year by Pop.

it took an injury to TD to finally force Pops hand and now tiago is making him look stupid.

It's not the same as actually having playing time. You can watch and learn all you want but unless you get thrown into the fire and start applying that, it means nil. There have been games this season when Tiago has played well only to see the end of the bench the next five games.

What's his problem with Pop talking to the officials? Say it and be done, he keeps repeating it.

Yeah but its not like we would have lost a bunch more games if Tiago had actually played....

I firmly believe we could have won just as many games and still been able to develop Tiago at the same time....no doubt in my mind.
