anybody got one of these yet? I am pretty much set on jumping from Iphone to this. I got the 3g and it's been ok, but sick of Apple's lock down policy, their new OS slowed down my phone to a halt, no flash, etc.
when is this thing being released in the US?

Samsung sent Cyanogen developers some free phones to get the mod up and running quickly. Holy crap Samsung just earned a lot of points in my book.

right. But I would not mind a contract. Especially if the phone is $50 to start with. I could always pay $200 termination 1 year from now.
And no. I been researching and not many issues with Atrix. Only complaint is the MotoBlur, but that can be disabled.
right, but it is unfair to compare an off contract price (sgs2 - 700) with a contract price (atrix - 50)
I think I'm going to get a new phone in and around August but I think I'll buy used because I don't want to hassle with a contract ATTM. I would love an S2 but really I think its just going to be overkill. I surf, tweet, text, and email on my phone. Otherwise the only other apps I use are GPS related.
I honestly wouldn't mind a Nexus S either.

Yeah no. Its the equivalent of my moment without the keyboard! I would probably just keep my Moment longer if not for the GPS being terrible.

canceled my $705 galaxy s2 order and went with the $50 Atrix.
liking it so far. coolest thing so far:
biometric fingerprint phone lock. when shown off makes ppl go GOT DAMN!

The LTE version is coming out likely in October. Unless the iPhone 5 dazzles me this will be my next phone.

About the only time ever that Australia has gotten technology before the US. It really is an amazing phone, I'm no fanboy, but this s on the current iPhone range.this phone is not out in the US yet
Sprint is getting their version this week I think. I don't have an upgrade until Jan but I am going to see if they'll move it up for me.
