dude looks like a sprinter tbh
He finally cut the dreads, decent workout prospect.
Any news on how he has recovered from his ACL injury in 2008?
It took him nearly 2 years to come back at a good level but he is now playing well. He has won the french MVP le this year.
I wondered what ever happened to his kid. Glad to hear that he is still developing overseas.
Has he developed a 3 pt shot?
Here are his stats for this season: http://www.eurobasket.com/player.asp...PlayerID=42497
I know he's not Greek (or Alabaman) and his per-game stats show him to have a streaky shot, but his 2- and 3-pt shooting% averages (mid-30's through high 50's) are outstanding according to the link Ace posted.
always liked the idea of bringing him and still like it. he has definitely improved his shot and his ball handling. looks as if he has used the time he lost because of his injury to work on that. still not great at anything, but likely good enough for the NBA.
also like his size, I'm pretty sure he is a "true" 6'7'' player (guess from comparing him to other players like Diaw and Pietrus), IMO he would be listed as 6'8'' if measured like the players in the pre draft camp.
could become a decent role player and a pleasant surprise like Neal.
Played-out troll is played-out.
Jorge Sierra: Another of his clients (Bill McCandless), former Sonic Mickael Gelabale, will work out with San Antonio, Denver and Atlanta.
His workouts with Spurs are today and tomorrow:

He is rumored to have offers in Europe from teams in Spain, Greece and Israel. It's doubtful he will accept a training camp contract. It will take a guaranteed contract to get him but I think he is worth it.
Well, I don't see someone being excited...
Well, he is a good player. I woudl take him over Danny Green.
could he be an option for our 2nd round pick or will he be long gone by then?
He is a free agent (ala gary neal)...
I like Gelabale, but wouldn't he be wiser just to take a guaranteed offer in Europe than to wait for lockout issues to clear up over here?
Better Gelabale than Jefferson. ANY DAY.
If the spurs are indeed successful at shipping out RJ, a compe ive rotation of Gelabale, Green, Anderson and Butler would be fine.
At the Nuggets' free agent camp this weekend.

Pretty much my thoughts on the matter. This is a horrible time to try to break back into the NBA.

Gelabale did his workouts. Spurs and Hawks are interested in seeing him again. With the lockout being likely, I don't see how they could make it work. It sucks for him that there won't have a SL this year. It would have been perfect for him to try to grab a guaranteed contract like Neal did last year.
Lockout + Kawhi Leonard makes this guy a pretty unlikely addition at this point.
Gelabale has signed an 1 year contract with a Belgium team. his contract has a NBA opt out clause:

Some high level teams in Europe were interested in him but he settled to play for a weakest team to have that NBA opt out clause at the end of the lockout. Sources, don't know if they are reliable, are confirming that Spurs and Hawks are the teams the most interested in him.
