I think it's time to have a thread fir him. Is he on pace to match his 58 goals in 51 games as he did one season with Ajax? I still remember they didn't give him the golden boot then beause goals in the Dutch league don't count as the other big ones...

Anyway IMO he is one of the top 5 forwards in the world at the moment...

    Thoughts?

Also, we can use the thread to keep his progress on the EPL

Not even sure he's the best forward in Uruguay.

Eto, Villa, Zlatan, Tevez, Messi/CR (he could play it), Rooney, Arguero, Forlan, Cavani, Pedro, Chicharito, WTF happened to Drogba, RVP

    Pedro?
    Cavani?
    Chicharito?

Cavani finished last season with 25 goals, best in Serie A, but he is not on Suarez level, sorry

IMO Forlan > Suarez. Not hating on Suarez, tbh.

We're not measuring career stars here but present moment... We'll be able to assess your statement after both retire...

Suarez might be riding a high note now, but to me Forlan is the much more complete player. The only reason he doesn't score as much is because he's asked to come down and do some playmaking too (credit to Forlan for being able to). But IMO he's just as good a finisher (excusing the slump he was on last year).

Forlan was never this hot on the EPL... plus, he's had this kind of slumps b4. The only team he plays more of a false 10 is in NT. He got to untreatable level when Riquelme was the assist man...

the point was Suarez is not top 5 IMO.

Chicharito and Pedro were just fillers to add to the population tbh. Don't underrate Cavani

Lol Cavani being considered on the same class. He never was and never will be as gifted of a player as Luis. I believe Suarez is entering toP players level. i sense a lot of unforgiven butthurtness because ofthe WC hand still.

The EPL is just a special league. Lots of long balls and headers. Not surprised Suarez, who's an opportunist, does well there. Not hating on him, BTW.

I agree he's not top 5, but likely a top 10 right now.

Not to mention that Forlan was on the EPL on a stacked team like ManU who had Van Nistelrooy at the top of his game.

Saying Suarez is Top 5 is pure homerism tbh. Thats the equivalent of Mexicans saying Chicharito is Top 5.
