Well, that ing blows.
Well, that ing blows.
Although the cap only applies if you pay for their hotspot? LOL if that is the case.
Seems they've been planning this for a while. My phone (even when it was running 2.2.2) has a Wifi Hotspot option in the settings, but whenever I try to turn it on, it just says "Network Unavailable". Apparently Sprint turned the feature off in one of the updates so that you would have to s out the $30 a month to them to use it.
There's a free app "freeTether" for webOS that lets you use Palm/HP phones as mobile hotspots without having to pay AT&T one red cent.
What a shame you're not going to be able to buy them any more.
Just saw this also, I dont think I go anywhere near that cap but it does suck, maybe I will look into clear which is the same company but at least it will not kill my phone battery. If its about the same price I may jump on it.
It all points to them getting the iPhone in a couple weeks.
If you have money to gamble, it might not be a bad time to buy some Sprint stock...
Unlimited simply cannot remain that forever. When you attach a computer to your phone, the data demand can get extreme.
No more extreme than using a broadband card... which Sprint sells and offers along with an unlimited plan...
Or there mobile hotspot device. It seems to only apply to phones with the feature on it, but not the card or wireless device.
