all these types of variables go into making a program what it is. Why is Texas such a great program? Because they win? Obviously not considering they haven't won in awhile but they are still a top program in the country. Because of ratings, exposure, attendance, recruiting,academics, etc. is the point.
Anyone who thinks TCU is an upgrade as a member doesn't know what they are talking about. Yes, they are a better football team at the moment. That doesn't define a program and nobody with a brain would choose TCU to be a member over A&M.

I'm not sure the Big XII TV deal would have been any better with A&M tbh. It's amazing to me how much they got. And they're the only P5 that can easily expand into new markets. Nice job.

Aside from a great rival, nothing as far as I can tell.
Tcu may not be an upgrade, but no evidence of a downgrade either.
