Sprint: Apple iPhone 4S brings 'best ever day of sales'

On Friday, as the iPhone 4S officially launched, Fared Adib, the carrier's product chief, said the Apple handset helped elevate the carrier's sales to a level not previously seen with the launch of any other product line. Sprint also began selling an 8-gigabyte version of the iPhone 4 for $100.

"Sprint today reported its best ever day of sales in retail, web and telesales for a device family in Sprint history with the launch of iPhone 4S and iPhone 4," Adib said in an email. "We reached this milestone at approximately noon CT/1pm ET. The response to this device by current and new customers has surpassed our expectations and validates our customers' desire for a truly unlimited data pricing plan."

    I bought one.

There might be better phones out there, but I like the simplicity to my iphone, and wont use it for much gaming.

    Getting a Vita.

I got the iPhone 4s, but on Verizon. I had unlimited data already so I was grandfathered in. I never had an iPhone before, I had an Android phone before this, and I liked it. I've tinkered with Android phones that my friends had, and I liked those. But my experience thus far with the iPhone blows away my experience with Android phones.

It's simple, fun to use, the screen is incredible, and I've found Siri to be very useful to me. Maybe that makes me an iSheep now, but I could give a less. This is hands down the best phone I've ever used in my life.

Tell Siri you want a blowjob, apparently it will list escort services for you. Or ask it where to find a dead body, etc. I hear it's fun to mess with

I don't like apple, but I am happy for sprint. I hope that these are mostly new subscribers and that this provides an infusion of cash to help improve the network. I like Sprint and don't see a problem with them rounding out their product mix.

My wife also has an iphone cuz i told her its small and its simple.

I, on the other hand, like the Android phones. Its a completely customizable, useful thinking man's phone, and the Iphone, well.... They're for girls.

Completely customizable, weird. I could have sworn you could do pretty much the same with a jailbroken iPhone.

But seriously, who the out there has time to around with their phone so much that they need limitless customization and ? I make calls, send texts, take a few pictures, and check my facebook. Play a game every so often. That's it. I don't need anything complex.

    That's exactly how I feel.

It's not very hard to say it's the best phone I've ever owned when I had a Palm Pre before this, though.

After having a an iPhone for the better part of the past 3 years and a Blackberry for a month and a half, I can safely say the Galaxy S2 is the best phone I've ever owned. I've adapted toAndroid quite well.

At worst, I enjoy Android as much as iOS. I never had a chance to use iOS 5, so many of the features Android had that are new to iOS are blowing me away. And the 4.3 inch screen is just elegant, I don't think I can go back to a smaller one.

How's the Ipad 2 doing? Do you think people make a choice between the two (phone vs pad)?

    Can you tether now?

Im glad u like the big screen...a majority of guys who have iphones have small hands so i cant blame them for needing a small screen.

i don't think people do, and the iPad is still running away from the pack sales wise.
