I need some good ones. Not the ear bud junk. And not expensive ones either. Something around $30 or so if that's even possible. Suggestions?

    Are these worth $30?

$30 isn't really going to buy you much, to be honest. Koss Portapros are ugly but they're decent for the price range.

If you can stretch the budget, you can get a pair of Grado SR-60s, they're awesome for the money. Alternatively, Sennheisers have some good cans in the sub-$100 range. Other than that though, you're really not spending enough to get into any significantly awesome headphones.

Those are okay, Brut. Really you need to spend $70+ to see good headphone options though.

I am out of the loop on headphones, but I can't will myself to spend anything over a maximum of 40 bucks on just headphones. I really just want some decent ones to use to play 360 in the middle of the night without waking up the baby.

What about those? If they're better than the Sony ones I posted above, which one is best?

    I'd go with the 203s.

if you have a larger dome/ears, sennheiser cups can run small.

Yeah that's how I felt but then one day I got tired of buying cheap headphones all the time since the wires inside got bent and caused that annoying where you can just hear out of the left side and the not the right, vice versa. I shopped around, did my research and bought my ATH-M50s.

Without a doubt, they're the best thing I've bought the past five years and listening to music and doing other with them makes me my pants every time. I've had them for almost two years, they're built really sturdy, have a gold plated jack with a thick wire designed to take a pounding. I was reluctant and really cautious at first buying them but two years later, I'm still extremely happy with them, the quality of the sound is great as well as the quality of the cans themselves and don't regret paying the $120 that they were two years ago. I checked Amazon and they're $160. WTF.
