He's supposedly fighting Nathan Cleverly July 30 as prep work for his big showdown with Kovalev later in the year.

Just st hope he can get back to Super Six form. Really his style is nothing special. 50% Ko mark for the most part. He gets major props for getting in the ring with that monster. Kovalev has been breaking people and is a complete in the ring. Down to earth dude outside though. He and Golovkin moved out here to So Cal.

    Errol Spence is the goods
hes really gonna shake up 147. Division is too stacked not to have a good fight at least once every other month. He has a
Manditory against Ponomarev which he should win. Then he sees Brook. Kid is nice.

Damn that Porter Thurman fight was sick. Thurman really showed me something tonight. I know he's got power, but he stayed composed and didn't let his control get away from him agsibst a guy that just constantly comes rushing in.

was a really good fight. Think it was second to Vargas Salido. But it was a good scrap. Judges were all 115-113 on a close fight. Some judge would have judged this fight 118-110 and I know people would have been pissed. It was close across the board. I had it a draw 114-114. Should be a rematch coming up.

I had it 115-113 but a draw would've been legit too. It was that close. I just feel Thurman landed the best big clean punches in the fight and when it's that close, those can swing it one way or the other.

yeah, if I had to choose a winner, I thought One Time landed the cleaner, sharper shots. Only way I saw Porter winning was to bully him for twelve rounds and he did. He has nothing to be ashamed of because of the loss. Keeps him where he is in the welterweight division. , I wouldn't be shocked if Porter got a le shot soon despite the loss. That's what you call a good loss.

Pumped for the Crawford fight next weekend. I just wonder what kind of PPV numbers it's going to pull in since he's not a known en y to casual fans.

    crawford fight tonight
He's sure a smart fighter. Reminds me of Chavez in that he'd take a round or two to figure you out and then pick you apart.

Agree. Kid's got it all. There's almost no limit to how good he can be. The only thing that might limit him is a lack of great opponents.

140 might be shaky even though there's still some decent comp there (Broner, Manny). He needs to get into that 47 sweep steaks. Problem with that is Arum is not in any hurry to have him fight Haymon fighters. So Broner at 40 and Thurman, Porter, Spence and Garcia is probably a no go. Look for the trilogy Crawford vs Jesse Vargas.

Best fight on the undercard was actually the four rounder with Clarissa Shields. Lol

Yeah that by Smith with Hopkins was crazy. Then Hopkins was like my legs or knee got ed up. kinda hard for them to get messed up when they never hit anything. They were straight in the air as the back of his dome hit the ground.

    Canelo v Chavez jr?

Mexicans don't run from fights so to save face from running from GGG, hes going after another Mexican with a biggest name just so all the Mexicans will watch and he can feel proud.

He's too afraid to move up 5 pounds to fight GGG, but will move up 10 to fight Chavez jr. And at that, will still be making Chavez come into the fight weak from making weight.

Now, as much a Chavez jr has been such a disappointment for laziness, this could be his Buster Douglas moment. That's only if, and only if, he trains like a lion for this fight. Dude has heavy hands and one punch that Canelo doesn't slip could change the fight. But that's a big if.
