no celebration sex with his wife for duncan after they win it all
You brought up Hannity and TPark responded. But to TPark I say keep your pseudo political jabs to yourself unless you are in the Political Forum.t park originally called me "liberal" in this thread
Mikey often pulls the young vs old card in these sort of threads. It's not a matter of you being young, it's just a matter of it being a really personal decision that a person who is going through it can make. Many Spurs fans went crazy when Duncan took the game off a couple years back when his dad died. People thought he "owed" it to San Antonio to play then too. Most rational people believe that you owe things to your family before your job and your city. I believe that you owe things to yourself -- whatever decision you make you have to live with.and samikey just called me "junior" on this page
Yes.you told me to shut up because i called myself childless and had a sarcastic woe is me post
Sorry.i dont understand
My point was that being a "spursfanforlife" is irrelevant in a personal desicion. Our points were the same, just from different angles. I probably could have communicated it better.Mikey often pulls the young vs old card in these sort of threads
Okie Dok.But to TPark I say keep your pseudo political jabs to yourself unless you are in the Political Forum.
Yeah, calling him "junior" is probably not appropriate if you aren't jabbing at his young age.My point was that being a "spursfanforlife" is irrelevant in a personal desicion. Our points were the same, just from different angles. I probably could have communicated it better.
Timvp is close to Mookie's age. Do you ever call him "junior"?
i didnt do anything...at all, look it up
LOL
no lowblows
its cool though
its uncanny after all my post- saying that id expect tim to play would hit such a nerve
Your stupid woe is me post to me hit a nerve. I don't care if you think Tim shouldn't play.its uncanny after all my post- saying that id expect tim to play would hit such a nerve
I don't think I have.then again, I don't remember calling anyone else that either. Plus he has my respect and in the rare times we have disagreed, I hope I have communicated that.
This is a weird azz thread. First of all, hopefully Mrs. Carlesimo is okay.
Second of all, the fierce discussion about something that probably won't happen is pretty funny. Plus, in that situation we all know it is the wife's call. Either Amy will tell Tim to go play or she'll say to be by her side. Unless Tim doesn't GAF about what she wants, he'll follow her lead. There have been instances in sports where the players have played the same day their wife gives birth. There have been instances where the players skip a game. And I'm guessing in pretty much each incident, it's been the wife's call.
Now if Duncan misses a Game 7 to be by his wife's side, then I can't promise you I wouldn't be somewhat miffed. Not only could they have induced the labor during an off day somewhere along the line, the couple probably should have known better than to be slamin' on days that would interfere with the Finals. There is like a two week window that Spurs players should be careful. Either Tim and Amy are bad at math or Tim didn't care.
I'm sure people will come in and try to say that I'm off base for saying I'd be upset with Duncan missing a game seven, but Duncan gets $100M to play a game and there is one two week stretch where he can't afford to be missing. A little forward planning never hurt anyone.

^^ I must "yeah that" Timvp's post.
OK, now I understand that you are just a kid.
Sometimes all the planning in the world does not work Timvp. We don't know what went on and maybe it was totally unplanned.
heres some words in peoples mouths
timing and understanding...
I truly hope that one day you have a beautiful pregnant wife who is about to deliver. When this does happen I sincerely hope you have the balls to admit to yourself that you were wrong. Experiencing the birth of your child is something that you would not want to miss if you had the choice between that and your job....not matter the fame and fortune that comes with this job.
alright i swear to god right here if i ever have the chance to see my wife give birth i will go see her, thats sounds great
unless
a. i have to work and the job pays me >$100,000,000.00
b. i'm playing in the nba finals
Not only that, but inducing labor does not mean you'll deliver right away. I've known people that were induced that didn't deliver for another 12 to 24 hours and it's not fun.
