Kevin Durant's game is based on 2 things... jumpshooting, and drawing fouls. He is very good at those two things, but unless he learns how to consistently create offense in a half court set, he probably won't be able to lead his team to a championship.
Seeing OKC try to execute half court sets on offense is absolutely excruciating, because there are basically 3 possible results for them.
1. Half the time it's a storm of bad execution resulting in a bad shot or turnover.
2. An occasional easy layup/dunk due to an opponents miscommunication or missed rotation.
3. Or its KD/Westbrook/Harden dribbling around for the entire shotclock, waiting for their defender to make a small footwork mistake so they can just barrel into them while throwing up a shot and draw a garbage shooting foul.
They pretty much rely on the opponent to make a mistake, rather than enforcing their will on the game.
