It's too bad. I guess we just don't measure up to the high, high standards of decorum, diction and probity our predecessors in this forum set for us.
More GTG's are needed I say. CC is a good man with strong beliefs and views. I sure hope he doesn't leave and keeps posting.

a forum that is a sub-forum of an NBA fan messageboard?
Shocking that standards of decorum would ever stoop to "you suck" levels.

was making fun of CC's claim that this place has slid downhill
why so mad? i don't mind paying your salary. i think the army is the only place for you. when you constantly refer to "professors", then i know you've topped out intellectually.
DADTme and my enflamed vagina.
Get in here and post CC!
I browse Political for entertainment... but I don't participate.
CC gave us his exit statement for Political, but he can still post in the Club...
And CC has posted in the club.
Haven't you other guys been there?
after his Political exit speech? And CC has posted in the club.
I haven't been paying attention...
Yes, after.
A person who say's I am done done with this place it's really a figure of speech.
Like when you say I am done with marriage. or I am done with drinking. He was just trying to vent.
When your really done with something you just stop.
Glad to see him continue.
Speaking as someone who's attacked others more often than I'd like, I can honestly say that I have a tolerance limit of how much of this forum I can take. There are very few posters that actually listen to people and have the decency and open-mindedness to admit when they are wrong, or even the greater step of changing their mind about something. I would like to think that I am that way most of the time, but in reality it's pretty rare that I have actually given active thought while browsing this forum, especially more recently when posters for the most part seem even more diametrically opposed regarding corporations vs. individual rights/etc.
There's a point I feel to which posting here becomes superfluous. If I wade through 15 pages of a topic and I see a couple of posters constantly bringing up tired rhetoric that has already been dismissed as completely exaggerated, or worse, blatantly untrue, and they stick to that logic despite having demonstrable evidence to the contrary... well, I just shake my head and wonder what the point is. It's frustrating to no end to put real effort into a post only to have it shouted down by someone presenting an argument that holds no water, or isn't even relevant. I can't remember the last time I clicked on this forum hoping to find actual rational discourse, because it just doesn't exist, or if it does, it's just a misnomer.
CC and WC, I do apologize for my attacks on you. They were uncalled for and borne out of frustration with the perception I had that you were in those cases unable to consider another viewpoint, not out of dislike for you as individuals.
That said, I do feel that this forum has become largely a waste of time, because too often sound arguments with sources and references fall on deaf ears to the drum beat of the prevailing party, whether it be Democrat or Republican. I wish it wasn't such an accurate reflection of the current state of politics, but it is what it is.
This is a pretty astute microcosm of the forum. To paraphrase: "This forum used to be so kind and inviting for people to post before you stupid ignorant assholes of a different political ideagogue from myself destroyed it for my fellow 'team' members I march in lockstep with on every single political or moral issue, who have never ever said anything out of line and only insulted you in the first place because you deserved it for being sinning heathens."
Great at ude, Crookshanks. You have the objectivity of a Lakers fan betting against the Spurs.
Cry Havoc is 2012 underrated political poster of the year.
They just can't stay away...![]()

This place is what you make of it. Yeah, there is plenty of partisan, one sided opinions/views posted up in here but damn, we are all different and we are all not going to think alike.
Get over this whining and just post and voice your opinions and to with everything else. I for one am not solely on the left or the right of all issues. I'm a conservative progressive.
If you were to see how I attempt to run my home you would think I am a staunch conservative but I'm not. I run a strict home but am progressive in my political views. Odd but it is what it is.
I just take the good with the bad and I do enjoy this place and what I read and ignore. Keep it to continue people.
Stay here long enough you'll see plenty of decent posters leave....many eventually come back as an alternative avatar, a few never do, but someone else always comes in and fills the gaps left behind....we very rarely lack for alternative views in this forum and perhaps that helps to contribute to its dysfunctional state at times. The Political Forum was never meant to be a permanent forum here at Spurs talk...it was created more or less as a joke...but something unexpected happen...for a time, the Political Forum became the number one forum at Spurs talk......and that was with only about 15-20 semi-regular posters...today this forum has between 30-50 regular to semi-regular posters and nearly a half millions posts, we attracted the highest numbers of vistors on a day at over 6500...the joke it seems, had turned on all of us..
sun don't shine on a dog's ass every day
