Touché.
Taking Cameron Echols-Luper could be a well calculated risk by the Ags if you can get Foster on campus. For those that don't know Luper (Ag commit) is a close friend and HS teammate of Foster at Auburn HS. Some friends of mine on the circuit joked like 6 months ago that Luper would probably get some big time offers added this year due to this relationship. He is a good player but somebody I thought was a stretch for a program like A&M especially with Ags limited space and momentum. I must say the A&M staff is no holds barred and it is paying off in recruiting, I hope the Texas staff is taking notes.
For those that aren't aware Foster is without questions one of the best players in the country if not the best. That said I think this could be a case of lip service to a friend and would not surprise me if he doesn't make it for a visit. Can't ignore A&M momentum though.
Not a surprise, but this decision date has been pushed back.
Petersen did not interview after all.
South Carolina RB Marcus Lattimore says he will enter NFL Draft:

Rivals mentions RB Adam Taylor out of Katy High School as a possible Texas target.

Also, former Texas target '14 RB Devon Thomas of Broken Arrow (Ok.) has decommitted from Oklahoma. Or Oklahoma pulled his offer, I'm not sure.

Glad you posted this because I had forgotten that Texas picked up his film. He was a big fan of UT at one time if my memory serves me right. Katy is just destroying everyone right now.
He's had undisclosed behavioral issues and didn't play much this season. I wouldn't be surprised if the offer was pulled but damn that was quick.
K Matt McCrane of Brownwood, who Texas was looking at as a preferred walk-on, committed to Kansas State yesterday. He mentioned that a full ride from another school was too much to pass up even though he grew up loving UT and attended several games this year.
A national reporter from 24/7 tweeted this morning that Mack Brown is in Alabama recruiting today. I'm not sure if he's there to see a specific prospect but I do know that JUCO DE Za'Darius Smith is originally from Alabama.
Some recruiting notes from 24/7...
-word is that Tennessee no longer considers JUCO LB De'Vondre Campbell a commitment and they know Texas is legit compe ion. A coach from Tennessee will head to Hutchinson CC today to see him. Worth noting that the coach responsible for recruiting Campbell to Tennessee was once on the staff at Hutchinson CC, so that is a connection that Texas will have to overcome. Campbell plans to sign his LOI on December 19th and he'll have three years of eligibility at his next school.
-bad news of the morning is JUCO QB Jake Waters saying that he's shutting down his visits and won't make a trip to Austin. Bryan Harsin is still scheduled to meet with him in Iowa today, so there's an outside chance that things could change. Waters' current plan is to announce on Thursday and he'll be choosing from Kansas State and Penn State. Texas has not offered.
-TE Durham Smythe continues to be the one name mentioned when it comes to de-commitment rumors. The fact that he was unable to attend last weekend's banquet is not helping things. Notre Dame and Stanford are the two schools being talked about and while there's nothing of substance to mention right now, 24/7 made a good point that Texas could be the last to know if anything changes.

@BFeldmanCBS
Been told that Texas OC Bryan Harsin is expected to interview for the ARK St head coaching job.
San Jose State is another opening to watch with Harsin. Their athletic director, Gene Bleymaier, was at Boise State for decades before being fired in August 2011.
WR Devin Lauderdale of Houston Bellaire just de-commited from Texas Tech.
I offer if I'm in Mack's shoes and the kid checks out. I don't see Rhodes happening at all.

OrangeBloods confirmed that Harsin is interviewing with Arkansas State today.
What players are possibly leaving early for the NFL?
Just Jackson Jeffcoat but he recently said that he was coming back.
Article on how much Robinson likes USC now:

MAX_olson: Tanner McEvoy told me he gets sense Texas isn't interested. If so, not looking like UT ends up with any of 3 juco QBs it evaluated.
I have no idea how much credibility can be given to this site but it is reporting Harsin to Arkansas State.

It's all over twitter now too. Not that that is credible, but yeah.
Orangebloods saying that there will be an announcement tomorrow at 2pm.
