Marc Gasol couldn't reason very well but he's a great guy and its awesome that he respects the Spurs.

Can you imagine the meltdown if a Spur player said that about another team? I wonder if the Memphis news will do a poll asking fans if he should be traded?
Funny how Stephen A didnt laugh at Marc the way he did at Bayless before. An actual NBA player told Stephen basically, "I played them".Stephen really didn't know what to say.
Man, if only we were able to face the Grizzlies again with that one hit wonder Z- .
Although it might seem kinda crazy, if this match-up occurs again, I will love the ing payback regardless of what it will take to beat that one hit wonder team.

Bayless' most interesting points: 1. When the Spurs get healthy that they will take over the West. 2. Tony Parker has arrived at "an elite point guard level" and should be in the MVP conversation.
This team had enough to beat the Grizzlies last year. Pop just didn't play Splitter enough during the year. In fact the frontcourt rotation last season would have been better.
I think it's always awkward when a player makes a statement like that. It's a no-win situation for the fans. You want the player to believe his team has a chance but you also want to respect his honesty.

I had the same thought.
As long as we are healthy I think we have a realistic shot to win the west. The main differences I see this season are Splitter and Leonard. Both give us a little more size than last year and more D. I think Miami would crush us. I'm not super worried about Chicago, though it's inevitable they are going to rock us after the all stall break due to our injuries. Now if we could add a quality big man with our MLE then maybe we could win another ring.
Heh... maybe tanking against Portland was strategic, to avoid the 1 seed?
That was such a messed up series. We'll have to live with comments like that, at least until we get out of the first round again.
