just dont use it. pretty sure holt and the other owners are happy about this.
If anyone.
Can't see them getting rid of Bonner. What do you guys think? Or will they simply not use it at all?

I know I'm going to be crucified because of that but if Manu can't stay healthy, Spurs should consider amnestying him. I'm not doing they should do it but they should at least look at what SG they could get through free agency.
Bruno, is there a link where the whole amnestying process is explained clearly? i suppose a team can't sign again a player they amnestied?
we dont have anyone left on this team thats a bad contract long term liability...
can a player be amnestyed and then retire?
What qualifications does a player have to meet in order to be possibly amnestied? We can save until the 2015 season, right?
Bonner is a possibility if he chokes again in the playoffs and the Spurs can get another big.
Amnesty Bonner. Sign Lorbek.
Sounds like a good summer to me.
Bonner's a certified choker since '09. I don't think there's a question.
I don't know. But you're right, a team can't re-signed an amnestied player.
Pop wouldn't let that happen. He spreads the ing floor

If Jackson turns in a 'meh' peformance for the rest of the year the Spurs might be using it on him.
What evidence is there that Lorbek is actually coming to the NBA next season? I'm not doubting you, I just honestly don't know - seems like a lot of ST posters are talking about Lorbek coming over. He's like 29 and was drafted in 05', why now?
I think the amnesty can only be applied to players who were with the team when the last bargaining agreement was signed so SJax would be ineligible.
There aren't any player eligible to be amenstied that make sense to amnesty given their very reasonable contracts. Sure Manu and Parker's contracts are large, but they are reasonable.
I seem to remember that now that you mention it. So, nevermind then.
