I would go for a 3 year contract with Oden. Minium of coure. Yet, if you can get him back on court very slowly and this proves to be just a very bad luck, you have bird rights on a very good defensive center which are always hard to find. Worst case scenario, you lost 3 millions and you can even get something for his expiring contract (when it expires).
Yeah, I'd take a chance on him. He loves the Spurs.
Would be great to get him for Min...and some team will (maybe even for something like 1,5mio/year).

There will be plenty of teams ready to throw more than a minimum deal at Oden...the mini mle would be a good start.

portland has reasons to let him go....your probably gambling on a 20%chance he will ever be an NBA-player and a 5% chance he will ever really matter...thats just not worth 3mio/year
$2.5 I think, but I was not saying the Spurs should give him the mini mle...I'm saying teams will be making him offers staring a the mini mle or the mle more than likely.
