Another stat:
Tim's record in Finals games; 23 wins, 11 losses
Jordan's; 24 wins, 11 losses
As we've known for a while, Tim's teams have playoff series wins over everyone in the West (other than Houston, who they've never played) and now has series wins over fully 1/3 of the East teams, too. So, Duncan's Spurs have won a playoff series against 18 of the 29 other NBA franchises. Overall, the Duncan Spurs have won 34 of the 45 series in which he's appeared (a ridiculous .756 series winning percentage).
But also fascinating to me is that with the series win over Miami, Tim's teams have now registered at least one series win over every other team that they've faced in the playoffs. Said slightly differently, there are only 7 NBA franchises whose teams have ever won a playoff series against a Tim Duncan-led Spurs team: Lakers (4 times); Dallas (2 times); Phoenix, Utah, Oklahoma City, Memphis, and Miami (1 time each). The Spurs have series wins over each of those teams, too.
If he's played you in the playoffs, he's beaten you in the playoffs.

Looking at those regular season numbers, it's likely that Tim will move into top 15 all-time in scoring, and top 10 all-time in rebounding next year.
Garnett averaged 6 and 6 last season. He won't get too far in totals next season.
I see he has 12 million reasons to come back for a 20th year.
is there a site that tracks personal W/L record? I would like to see how Duncan stacks up against the all time greats in career win %
Marc Stein @ESPNSteinLine
San Antonio's Tim Duncan is starting his 18th season as a Spur, tying Indy's @ReggieMillerTNT & Utah's @TheDeliverer_32 for second all time
Thedeliverer_32? That inbred hick being too dumb to remember his nickname tbh.
So who's first? I almost imagine that's most seasons with one team and not in general.
Marc Stein @ESPNSteinLine
Today begins season No. 19 as a Laker for @kobebryant, matching Utah's John Stockton for the longest run with one franchise in NBA history
Thanks, Ace.
Technically, then, Tim is tied for third, not second.

Where do you think Timmy will end up in career points when it's all set and done? LeBron will pass Timmy early next season for sure. Melo in another 2 1/2 seasons. Wade, Bosh, VC, and Ray Allen no. TP and MVPau will be lucky to even make it to 20k. The battle between Pierce and Timmy is very close. Dirk is too far now. Timmy can pass KG if he decides to play another season since KG is a sure shot retiree this after this season.

First, who is the v-ball girl, BillMc?!?!?! (rhetorical)
Second, Tim Duncan has this strange stat, not once, not twice, not three, not four, not five, but six times in his career...
What is it? Matt Winer of NBATV pointed out that Tim has had more blocks than fouls in last season's championship run.
Tim had 147 blocks and only 139 fouls. My research indicated he has done it six times already. http://www.basketball-reference.com/...duncati01.html
A quick check of other players who block shots. Kevin Garnett, Roy Hibbert, Marc Gasol, Pau Gasol, Anthony Davis have never done this. Serge Ibaka did it twice, but none since 2012-2013...
Quirky but deserving mention because it is after all about the great Tim Duncan...

^im surprised Hakeem doesn't have that. he's got about 27k points and well over 3.5k blocks. only 252 rebounds away from that mark
