Go Tim Go!
TD needs one more block to become the 5th player in NBA history with 3,000 blocks. He also needs 4 rebounds to pass Karl Malone for 6th place on the all-time list, 55 points to pass John Havlicek for 13th place on the all-time scoring list, and 35 rebounds for 15,000 in his career.
one win shy of 1000 career regular season wins..Hopefully Pop plays him in a winnable game in next 6 remaining..I don't want Timmy to get stuck there should he decide to retire at end of season..
Most regular season wins in NBA History:
1. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar: 1077
2. Robert Parish: 1014
3. Tim Duncan: 999
4. John Stockton: 953
5. Karl Malone: 952
Not a top 5 all-time great, sure.
Everything points to Timmy being a top 5, if not top 3 or 4, great despite playing with one good knee throughout a majority of his career and on some of the worst paced offensive teams in his prime.
It is a scary thought to think that Duncan "could have" been an even better player (statistically and athletically) had those situations been different. No matter, he's one of the best to ever, ever touch a NBA basketball, period.
I think about that all the time.

Of all the No. 1 overall draft picks in NBA history that had careers of 10 years or longer, only 5 of them spent their whole career with 1 team. Those players are:
-Elgin Baylor
-Magic Johnson
-James Worthy
-David Robinson
-Tim Duncan
*Tim Duncan has the record for most seasons (19) and most games played (1,392) by a No. 1 pick with the same team.
Most days the fan base was convinced a retirement announcement was to be made without it happening, all-time
1. Tim Duncan 17,142
2. Reggie Miller 112
...
14,172 Kobe Bryant -365
