AS Roma want Bojan Krkic to return to FC Barcelona this summer

Roma are reportedly trying to convince Barcelona to re-sign Bojan Krkic this summer.

Barca have the option to re-sign the 21-year-old for €17million this summer, while they are obliged to re-purchase the forward at the end of the 2012-2013 campaign for €13m as part of the €12m deal that took him to Italy last summer.

Roma can prevent the Catalans from re-signing Krkic next year by paying an additional €28m, but according to Spanish publication Sport, the Serie A side do not want to keep him at the club on a long-term basis.

Bojan has struggled for consistency at the Stadio Olimpico this season and has found himself left on the bench for most of the campaign.

He had been linked with Liverpool and Tottenham prior to his move away from Camp Nou, and speaking last October, he claimed he would never return to Barcelona while Pep Guardiola - who will step down as coach at the end of the month - remained in charge.

"Guardiola didn’t see me at all," he said in an interview.

"I would give 100 per cent in training, yet he’d never consider me for selection in the games. I left because of him and I shall certainly not return while he is still on the bench.

    "I wasn’t happy because I didn’t play and I didn’t have continuity.

"It is one thing not to play, but another not to feel part of the squad."

How interested Barcelona are in doing a deal this summer is unknown.

Carles Puyol set to miss Euro 2012 with knee injury

Barcelona's Spanish international defender Carles Puyol could be ruled out of Euro 2012 after being told he requires an operation.

The 34-year-old captain was sidelined for three months earlier this year with knee trouble and Barca confirmed he is now expected to be out for six weeks.

"After tests were conducted it was decided he would have arthroscopic surgery on 12 May," the club said.

Spain's first game of Euro 2012 is against Italy on 10 June.

Vicente Del Bosque, who coaches reigning European champions Spain, will announce a provisional squad on 15 May, which will be whittled down to a final squad on 27 May.

Puyol experienced discomfort in his knee during Saturday's La Liga home victory over Espanyol.

He will miss Barca's final game of the La Liga season at Real Betis and Pep Guardiola's last game as coach, the Copa del Rey final on 25 May against Athletic Bilbao.

The powerful defender has been a reliable presence in the Spanish back line for more than a decade and has made 99 appearances for the world and European champions, scoring the winning goal in Spain's 1-0 semi-final victory against Germany at the 2010 World Cup.

Barca needs to improve at the back line, so they have Alba, Alaba, Thiago Silva and Bale in their wishlist.

They should let Tello walk away if Malaga pays the right amount. He definitely does not fit in the system. Rather have Cuenca in the fold. Or just loan him so he can gain experience.

Vertonghen is a target but that er is going to Tttenham.

    And Barcelona's worst kept secret...Neymar.

I wish Pep hadn't resigned just yet. Rosell, with the Barca board (and most likely the socis too), gave him unlimited spending power just to stay. Get the best talent, win a treble once more and then hand the team over to o.

    Just rumors ?
    Well it's purely from Yaya:

However, Toure's long-term ambition remains a return to the Camp Nou. He told Spanish radio station RAC1: "I said two years ago that I would return. It's been the most important team for me and if they call you don't think twice. I love Barcelona.

"In the press conference I did when I left I said I would return, in life you never know what will happen tomorrow, it's been the team of my life and I would like to finish my sporting career here. If I could return, it would be great.''
In other words, if Barca are interested, he's back.

Barca really need to invest in defenders this summer, they can't rely on the TOSBs Puyol and Abidal anymore, and the TYSB Pique is always hurt as well.

Yaya was always a great fit. They should park Sergio on the bench.

I'm reading barcafoum and some posters there are arguing that Busquets is better than Yaya.
