There was a scare for Karim Benzema, who withdrew from training with the French national squad today. The Real Madrid striker, who had a sore hip, had to leave the training pitch. The striker had joined up with the rest of the squad with some discomfort in the first training session following his arrival.
Benzema is enjoying his best form of the season so far. He helped Madrid to victory in Bulgaria against Ludogorets and scored twice against Athletic on Sunday. Deschamps, seeing that he had a pain in his hip, allowed him to stop training. France face Portugal this weekend and then take on Armenia in two friendly matches. As the host country, they already have their place in Euro 2016.
Khedira is back in the squad for the game tomorrow.
Benzema, Ramos, Varane and Coentrao will miss the game (also Jesé of course).
