I've been real sick lately so my sense of smell and taste have been gone for about 2 weeksWhat reminded me this time was the fact that there were more customers riding those scooter things than actual walking on their own 2 feet customers! I got run down twice between the parking lot and 100 yards into the store. It's like bumper cars at freaking Fiesta Texas!

FWIW:
Walmart has been named one of the worst retailers in terms of customer service in the US. They ahve taken cost cutting to an extreme and have trimmed back staff to comical levels. At least the people sitting in the scooters have a comfortable place to sit while they wait for the one cashier on duty to handle the 20+ customers waiting in line.
For the schadenfruede crowd:
There are some indications that Walmart, at least in some areas, has been cooking the books. Not confirmed, but there is a sniff of it in the business press, usually the first to break something important. The nature of what they are doing is that they are pushing relatively minor losses from shrinkage (aka theft) in the present into the future. This sort of distortion snowballs, into a large chunk that eventually becomes so large that everyone realizes what was happening and a huge stinky scandal breaks out.
I can only hope.
I for one, have stopped shopping at the one in San Marcos. ty location to get in and out of, mediocre produce, and the aforementioned ty customer service. I will drive the extra 10-20 minutes, and forgo any "low prices" that might be offered. Just not worth it anymore, IMO.

Ha, the one cashier! It seems so funny to me that the entire store is active and buzzing----until you get to the check out area; all the activity just stops there, like frozen in time, and it's dead quiet!
What's ridiculous is that I will adjust my shopping to end up there every couple of months because there is ONE item (a Great Value item) that I just love; it's pretty small too so I could realistically buy enough at once to last a couple of years but I never think of doing that when I'm there!

Sometimes you just need a good burger. Try not having a burger for two months, when you break the seal it's great.

speaking of burgers, i went to BK the other day and their burgers suck ass. i could two months easily w/o a burger if that was the only place to get one.
Their burgers literally stink.
Dayum, it's over 90 degrees outside. I went out for a short 30 min run and I got a sunburn on my shoulders and chest already!

i just spent 1.50 on an apple from HEB CM and damn that was delicious.
Gonna have pulled pork for lunch.
fresh dates are good as a breakfast side.
