Oswalt will be an adequate replacement and would be valuable out of the bullpen tbh

Old ass Oswalt and old ass yashinori tateyama manning the pen
Maddux will get the most out of Oswalt, he turned Matt Harrison into a decent pitcher.
Is Oswalt even healthy?
Yeah he's healthy, he is not signing with a team until his kids get out of school (early June)
It's official now, MB = Fcked
its fcked cuz he is replacing Feliz? Is Oswalt better then Feliz?
That's a good question, no one has seen Oswalt pitch in a long time and Feliz shouldn't be judged as a starter until his 2nd year when teams have him figured out better. I do know Oswalt was highly coveted by many teams who needed a reliable starter and he chose us. Like I said earlier in the thread, Oswalt would be very valuable out of the pen in a Scott Feldman type of role too.
So you'd rather start Feldman and give Oswalt the long reliever role?
Haven't seen Oswalt pitch in awhile and obviously it'll take a few games for him to get all his strength back. Didn't he have a down year last season in Philly? He hasn't been the same since the injury IMHO, I remember he used to light it up in Houston a decade ago
That's what most of us are hoping for. The Oswalt who was an ace over at Houston.
eeek...lets just wait and see i guess.
Rangers are 0-3 since oswalt arrived. Just sayin.
Yeah he say's he feels as good as he has his whole career.
looked pretty good last night, no rust there
what a has been
R. Oswalt (L, 3-2) era over 6 LOL
Press conference going on now...JD and Nolan have known about it for a while but Feliz is out for the season. Tommy John surgery apparently, gonna be back next summer
Oswalt to the bullpen...so who is the 5th starter?
Holland, Harrison, Dempster, Darvish, ogando or feldman?

Feldman right now - he's throwing darts.
Oswalt not gonna play anymore?!
Shipped his ass to the bullpen
I heard he refused to go out?
It sounds like Wash was doing damage control after a loss, this should have been kept in the clubhouse.

Roy Oswalt made his second appearance as a reliever for the Rangers on Sunday. The Rangers don't know if there will be a third one. Oswalt's situation has become murky after what happened at Kauffman Stadium.
Oswalt pitched two scoreless innings in the Rangers' 7-6 loss in 10 innings to the Royals. With the score tied at 6, he set down the side in order in the seventh and eighth innings while throwing only 30 pitches.
The Rangers wanted Oswalt to keep pitching. He declined to do so.
"He said he couldn't go any further," manager Ron Washington said. "He said he had enough."
Oswalt was moved to the bullpen after six starts when the Rangers acquired Ryan Dempster from the Cubs on Tuesday. Oswalt made it clear to the Rangers that he didn't want to pitch in relief. The Rangers still made the decision because Scott Feldman had won six straight while Oswalt was 3-2 with a 6.49 ERA in his six starts.
Oswalt was not available after the game to discuss his situation. The Rangers open a three-game series with the Red Sox on Monday in Boston. What happens next will be up to Oswalt, or general manager Jon Daniels may have to resolve the issue.
Maaan... this mother er. Bring in someone who wants to play the ing game and doesn't care if he has to come out of the bullpen.
