Giroud is more efficient than Walcott as a striker though. Did you see the chances he missed earlier? got missed a couple of sitters. The game could've been worse for Newcastle if he finished those.

And then there was that counter-attack he bungled wherein Podolski was open on the left, Santi Cazorla on the right, and he chose to do a Cristiano Ronaldo.

Yes Giroud is more efficient, but starting Craig David allows Arsenal to impose their pace early on and score early, as opposed to struggling to score goals

I'm with Venti here. Walcott can play the role of CF/striker in the middle, but he shouldn't be seen as the solution there. Knowing Wenger though, he will say that "Walcott playing in the middle is like a new signing" and not see the need to buy another striker.
