Who?
...because they at least credit timvp:

Debatable that ESPN has better writers than the SAEN also. And that's saying something.
So first they send you a cease and desist letter to stop using their content on SpursTalk, and then they start using SpursTalk as filler to get through the slow months?
So can I post more than two sentences of an article that is ripped from SpursTalk?
Seriously, though, good to see LJ getting credit where credit is due, and see SpursTalk making waves in the sporting news world. I wonder if Express News realizes it just tipped its readers off to a source that is 10x better than themselves for news and analysis.
It's also interesting that Express News would link the general public to a site that, while definitely filled with good discussion and basketball knowledge, is also full of sigs with T&A, profanity, and general trolling.
Not that I'm complaining; we all know it's part of what makes SpursTalk what it is....just seems strange for a city newspaper to be throwing fresh meat into the lion's den.
Good thing Spur fan didn't make too much of an ass of themselves in that thread.
Idea: He certainly has the talent to become a big time writer, but perhaps he might consider using his real name on his insightful pieces.
Nice.
I thought that was possibly the best work I've seen from timvp.
A nice mesh of traditional and advanced statistics with some scouting aspects thrown in. Go SpursTalk!
Pretty much just djohn2oo8 tbh
I think Dan McCarney is new to EN because he isn't one of their regulars, but he has submitted a lot of articles lately.
No wonder he's giving credit to ST. He must be new.
nice to see credit given where credit is due.......love reading timpvp
Maybe they got rid of Tim Griffin after he plagiarized Project Spurs one too many times.
Hilarious. I wonder if the MySA brass know about it. They might put him on the other side of the desk before it's all said and done.
"Son...we need to talk about your article...."
I think we need a curtain call from Timvp on this one.
It marks a good day for journalism, in my opinion, when newspapers pay their due recognition to an internet forum. So what if the forum is a mosh pit of various ideas, obscure people, low brows etc. If it has a thoughtful poster coming up with excellent thoughts, it has to be given its due. I am glad that E-N is doing so.
Doesn't SAEN know by now that TiMvp isn't just a "poster" on this forum but actually runs the darn thing?
nomination for timvp to get a Spur for getting credit from SAEN
Nice job getting some rec. from MySA Tim.
I miss Benjamin P. Broadhind, tbh
The Benjamin P Broadhind stories were writing gold.
so what happened to that plagiarizer?
The venerable Dan McCarney is alright in my book
