I know this is way too early to be thinking about this, but since we didn't get a PF or C in the draft this year, I figured I would look ahead to next year's draft. I usually don't follow college basketball much, but I will next year just to keep an eye on the following players:

    Cody Zeller (Indiana)
    Nerlens Noel (Kentucky)
    Isaiah Austin (Baylor)
    Kaleb Tarczewski (Arizona)
    Steven Adams (Pittsburgh)
    Cameron Ridley (Texas)

Yes, these are all big men in case you didn't know. Since they all might either be out of reach or might not come out next year, I also have my eye on another big man prospect who I like just as much as I like the top 2 names on this list. His name is Rudy Gobert (props to Bruno for suggesting him to me), and he is from France. He is also considered the best international prospect. He's 7'0", right now only 225lbs., can play PF or C, can jump out of the gym, has some quickness, can rebound, and block shots, but is still raw on offense. I think he would be an excellent fit next to Tim Duncan next year if we can get him. I also feel like if the Spurs really want to show their appreciation for TD, they would find a way to get him the proper help in the frontcourt, especially a young athletic PF/C that he can mentor into being his successor after he retires.

Isaiah Austin is my favorite among those players.
Mostly because he has a great outside jumper, & blocks shots.

He has many years to tap his full potential, but right now,
he needs to work on his intangibles, & his hustle.
Most importantly, he needs to box out better on the defensive glass.

I hope we don't draft any of them with our pick. A trade for one of them might be OK, depends on actual production.

Gobert is already in the top 10 picks of next year mock drafts and had a huge showing at the adidas eurocamp this year (http://www.draftexpress.com/article/...-Day-Two-3962/)...

No way the spurs can grab him... Unless a disaster this year

It also depends on how these other kids develop too. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

For those who wonder who is Gobert

Here is a video of 4 mn of his highlights with Cholet. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OdTECazexFo

Dude is tall, a big defensive presence, he can run the floor pretty well for his size. Offensively he just dunks: he can create his own dunk () or dunk some alley hoops, he has 0 mid range JS. He also needs to gain some weight.

Mason Plumlee and Alex Len are more rational targets, (based on what should be available). I am not wishing for a bad regular season.
But then I was advocating for Radosevic or Sacre at 59 this year.

That's actually what I had in mind......I really believe we'll end up with one of them. My choice is Rudy Gobert.
