What a boss.
New interview with Kawhi during USA basketball practice for those who are interested.
Thanks for the post, it was a good interview if not exciting. The kid is a non-stop worker and gym rat...can't wait to see his second year in the system.
I love when he said that he really play video games when he's bored. He said when he's bored, he just goes to the gym instead and works on his shot and game.
I lol'd and thought of Duncan with his "WTF?" face.
This kid was destined to be a Spur. Doesn't say a whole lot in the interview but you can tell he's extremely motivated. Really liked how he said he wants the ultimate goal of winning a championship, becoming one of the best in the league, and how he keeps playing year round with really no down time.
I really hope Kawhi is in San Antonio for the long haul.
The Future.
I think this opportunity to scrimmage and practice against some of the best NBA players will make a major impact in Kawhi's development offensively and defensively.
Pretty much the only hope the Spurs have...and he's not going to be able to do it by himself.
I swear if this guy turns out to be Tim Duncan five inches shorter but also a Scottie Pippen clone...
be nice if green joins him in the guym along with cory joseph and manu and splitter
maybe he might make a free throw
Seriously, kawhi is untouchable.. I wouldnt trade him for durant
not sure if serious...
Kawhi gives up 4 or 5 inches to Durant and is a better rebounder.
His corner threes and driving baseline dunks are boss too.
Did I mention he was 9th in the league in Offensive Rating?
So they are not actually playing a game against Kawhi's team? Just scrimmaging against them?
Code:Year RPG Kawhi Leonard 2012 5.1 Kevin Durant 2012 8.0
Someone always has to take too far.
Maybe Durant. No way I would trade him for Lebron though.
durant played more minutes
whenever leonard plays 30+ minutes hes usually getting 9+ rebounds
he had a few double doubles in the okc series
fify, ftr, fwiw.
In terms of work ethics, I can't think of anybody in the NBA I've ever read about who comes close to this guy's reputation for obsessive self-improvement.
18 points/10 rebounds/2 blocks in Game 3.
