scrappy win for Brazil... GB really gave them everything they have..
Team GB are just so awful. It's painful to watch such bad defensive coordination, one guy goes to help double Nene in the post, leaves Barbosa wide open for a 3. Just horrible.
Also they really should have gone to hack-a-splitter. Even if they can't just hack him like in the NBA (dunno FIBA rules), a few times he had the ball and they just stood off him. Bad coaching.
Not to mention whoever it was ran down to close out Verajao in the corner like he was Ray Allen. Just bad mistakes
Awful game from Brazil against an even more awful british team. A match to forget.
Huertas with 24 minutes is the only good thing that happened today.
He better play all the 40 minutes against Russia.
Did anyone see that during a timeout in the Australia vs Spain game, coach Brett Brown called a played named "Manu Ginobli" he was like "go back in and run Ginobili".
enough with the awful Britain.
for a team with ZERO international level guards we played damn well.
Pops has been excellent. Freeland looks NBA-ready.
and Deng is Deng.
choked 2 free throws, but hit two MASSIVE contested threes, and drew a three-point shooting foul with the shot clock running down in the last 2 minutes.
that ain't choking in my book.
Huertas has been great for Brazil.
Nene seems to barely be trying, leaving all the real balling to Splitter and Anderson. Leandro has been terrible.
White really shows Diaw's weight
and Diaw is taking over near the end of the 3rd! and now a cut to swimming.
Parker did a good job of closing out the game, scoring 11 points in the 4th.

And France wins, looks like Parker is getting his shape back, closing out at the end of the game...
Seems that France will manage to finish at the second place of the group.
Didn't watch, but Parker with 27 points on 9-14 fg with 5 rebs and 2 assts playing almost the whole game (36mins).
Diaw with 10 pts, 8 assts, 6 rebs playing pretty much the entire game as well with 38 mins! Seems his fitness is not an issue then..
De Colo with 8 points, 5 rebs, 1 asst on 3-7 fg in 25mins.
It seems that Pietrus broke his nose (just going off a tweet, any confirmation?) early in the game so Boris had to play pretty much by default.
Eh, Diaw's always been the "amazing if motivated, crappy if not" guy.
Look at how good he was in Phoenix and the tail end of last season and compare that to how bad he got in Charlotte.
Woke up early to watch the Argentina-Tunisia game. Hope it's a good one.
Again, not on Time Warner cable in Austin. Any suggestions on how to see the game are most welcome........![]()
damn I'm sleepy, but ARG looks even more sleep at the wheel...
wow, what a terrible quarter for ARG
Maybe it's good it's not televised......on Time %$^Warner cable.
renal colic... he's not gonna play
