Scola practices with teammates
"Luis (Scola) recovered well from his knee injury. A serious injury was discarded and he'll be available to practice with teammates today. If he feels well, he won't undergo the MRI scheduled for tomorrow" said Diego Grippo, the national team doctor.

I don't know what makes more sense... A team that wasn't willing to pay more than 2.1mil bidding on Scola or the Mavs who have no need for him making a bid.
Doesn't look likely at all that he will go unclaimed.
One would argue that at $3 million/season he would be a good trade bait even a year from now...
Would have been nice if there was at least 1 more player on the amnesty waiver wire (preferably PF).
bbb u cant change fate
Oh well. it was nice to dream about a 4 big lineup of Duncan, Scola, Splitter, & Diaw.
Hopefully reports of Spurs interested in Kenyon Martin will come out soon.
When is it that we find out if Scola got picked up off waivers? Thought it was around this time today, but I haven't heard anything.
4:00pm CST (in about 25 minutes)
I'll guess the Hornets with a bid of $3.8 million win the Scola sweepstakes.
have you heard anything?
Did find a site that said Cavs did put in a bid.
That's who i think gets him (Cavs)
Just saw this earlier

Cavs have placed a bid on PF Luis Scola. Guess LeBron winning a le has Dan Gilbert's trigger happy this off season.
lol ferry not wanting him in cle then cavs getting him years later
bring in darko
The Cavs just became even more annoying tbh....
Fake report from a fake source. Also reported OJ Mayo was going to LA in a S&T for McRoberts and Blake...
Poor Scola went from bad to worst.
Thanks for the heads up... So they didn't place a bid?

Phoenix Suns are awarded ex-Rockets forward Luis Scola, per league sources. Houston used amnesty clause on Scola Friday.

Wouldn't be surprised if they did. But that's not a reliable source.
EDIT: Damn you, PHX.

The NBA's 30 teams have just been notified that Phoenix has won waiver auction for Luis Scola
