Again none of these guys are knock down open shooters except for Durant. I expect them to struggle with hitting open shots through out the olympics. Remember when the spurs choked in '04 against the Lakers because they clogged the paint and forced them to shoot open j's but nobody could hit. I expect the same thing to happen with team USA but they could still prevail because their athleticism is overwhelming for many teams to handle.
I think I said that about the Spurs after game 2 of the WCF.
Lebron obliged to play his A game to help USA win a friendship game against Brazil of barbosa

Open look =/= Good shot
celebrating like a big play in the 4th of a game 7
shake and bake airball.
They won't shoot this poorly again.
End of story.
So what's a good look?
Contested shot = good shot ?
Three pointers, in the best of situations, are not high-percentage shots. It's sad that I have to explain it to you. Just because you're open doesn't mean you should shoot. Trying to get a layup or a dunk or draw a foul is a much more efficeint mode of offense, as is shooting on a kickout or a swing pass. A shot off the dribble is almost never a good shot.
These refs let the most physical play go, but ticky tack is called![]()
Funny how the US team pulled away when they STOPPED shooting so many threes. How can that be, since the baskets are worth 50 percent less?![]()
They didn't really manage the game well. Was this an international crew?
well, hopefully a wake up call for Team USA.... I mean, Brazil is pretty good but Spain is better... there's no moral victories, but Brazil has to feel pretty good about this game...
Did Obama call on Congress to pass some random bill? If not, it wasn't an official Obama appearance.
He did that at the Michigan State/UNC game on the aircraft carrier. Made me sick; just let the guys play without turning it into a political statement, preezy.
Right, but what can you do when a team packs the paint the majority of the game? Do you still bullrush and force things or do you take what's given to you? From the outset of this game, Brazil executed its defensive gameplan to perfection. It also helps they got the athleticism and physicality to make it tough.
I don't expect the perimeter players to shoot this poorly again. Also couple in the the blown dunks and alley-oops, this game should have easily been 20+. Only player I expect a duplicate performance from is Melo.
Well, nothing new..... USA Team is not a dream team but they have LeBron. It should be enough.
Spain has no huertas to rely on when the going gets tough.......
