Bottom line is we are f***** no matter who is elected. I have voted Republican in the last 3 elections but this time around sadly I would have to vote for Obama. Romney reminds me of a used car salesman. I don't think there has ever been a presidential candidate more out of touch with the middle and lower class.
That's funny. Obama reminds me of a used car salesman. Romney reminds me of a high profile head-hunter.

I just can't vote for Obama, I cannot do it. But this is so damn true about Romney as well. Dude has no frickin clue whatsoever, nor does he care to.
Maybe we should all write in "Ron Paul."

The thing about this was the rather atypical bluntness on the part of the president, accused, rather hollowly, of being "weak" on this, and inviting more attacks.

Egypt is a long standing "non-NATO ally".

Directly hinting that the attacks on our embasses might cause us to rethink that status was a VERY powerful message, and one that had to be somewhat walked back a bit to let the Egyptian goverment save a bit of face.

It is obvious, given Presdient Morsi's given public statements, that the current Egyptian goverment knows it has to walk a VERY fine line, between the messages it gives to its decidedly anti-American public (made that way by our hesitation to embrace the protestors seeking their dictators removal), and the US officially.

Funny that people like your dumb ass were calling for more support of Mubarak, and this was precisely what pissed them off.

Ahhhh...the omnipotent RandomGuy know what the "people" half way around the world think. The Egyptian President himself said the people rioting were not a reflection of the views of the government or the majority of the people.

His exact words were "Those who are attacking the embassies do not represent any of us."

Actually, it was more in response to the embassy tweets than anything else.

Your video simply allowed me to make an additional point, using an existing link.

    LOL confusing shorthand/lazy with butthurt.

Meh. All you have is middle school insults, and regurgitated bull , with a rather pointed lack of understanding nuances. GTFO.

    Misnomer.

    Better:

"Ahhhh...the omniscient RandomGuy know what the "people" half way around the world think."

Yeah, I know what you mean, it's really difficult to go and read english language or translated versions of local reporting by people who actually live in the region to get information not on Fox News.

That would be practically impossible. Anyone who claims to know what people in that area of the world think is just pretending to know, because no one in the US can possibly have that kind of information. Getting it would have to mean you were omniscient.

Thought the same thing but quickly realized Islam is nothing like other religions these days.

While the Christian/Hindu/Buddhists/Jewish all (basically) grew up over the past 500 or so years, Islam and its cons uents stayed the same medieval, barbaric holy warriors they were born as.

Moreover, mother ers need to get a goddamn job. I sure wish I could just flood the street every time someone offended me on a a random Wednesday, but alas, bills still need to get paid.

I prefer his approach to your choosing of a single line of rhetoric completely out of context to base the Egyptian position on.

They play the game on the other side of the world too.

I had to look that reference up as I never heard the name before. On IMDB, under "People who liked this also liked..."

    Wow...

What a list of dumb movies. Must be your speed.

I seriously doubt I resemble Tugg in any way.

The last time a US Ambassador was murdered was under the Carter Administration, another weak pacifist President.

    Coincidence? I think not.
Has nothing to do with the president.

Just saw some video on the BBC about protests in Sydney, Australia. Looked more like a riot, pretty full on.

Violence erupts in Sydney over anti-Islam film
"We are sick and tired of everyone mocking our beloved Prophet," protester Houda Dib told AFP.
"We are here for the sake of our God," he said.
"The message is clear, you cannot mock (the Prophet)."

Did Romney Actually Say He'd Take Advantage of Hostages or Dead Americans?

And yet, in that election, in the Jimmy Carter election, the fact that we had hostages in Iran, I mean, that was all we talked about. And we had the two helicopters crash in the desert, I mean, that was the focus, and so him [Reagan] solving that made all the difference in the world. I'm afraid today that if you simply got Iran to agree to stand down on nuclear weapons, they'd go, "Now hold on. It's really a -- "I mean, if something of that nature presents itself I will work to find a way to take advantage of the opportunity.

I'm sorry, what? If there's an international crisis where Americans die and/or hostages are taken, you'll "work to find a way to take advantage of the opportunity"?

I might not believe that's what Mitt Romney meant by this statement, if it wasn't exactly what he did down the road, when he immediately tried to politically capitalize on the attacks on our diplomatic outposts, before we even knew who had died.

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/jon-so...=Daily%20Brief

    "so him [Reagan] solving that"

    WTF?

    St Ronnie "solved" what?

As the Repugs did to Johnson in subverting the Paris Peace talks and prolonging the VN war, the Repugs did a deal with the Iranians to prolong the hostage crisis until St Ronnie was in office in return for no retaliation from St Ronnie.

Ronnie allowed secret sales of state of the art TOW anti-tank missiles to Iran as a quid quo pro to get the hostages back. The money they got for the missiles was secretly funneled to the Contras in Nicaragua. So yeah, Ronnie "solved" the hostage crisis even though he had to sneak it by congress.

I think Gecko is referring to St Ronnie and Repugs exploiting/sabotaging the hostage crisis and telling the Iranians that US wouldn't retaliate if the hostage were released the day St Ronnie was inaugurated.

That was just another time, like in Beirut, where St Ronnie and the Repugs were tough on terrorists attacking America.

I really don't think Gecko wants to bring up St Ronnie's contra/Iran crimes again, as some kind of solution.
