    The ability to hack the voting machines is well do ented. You should watch the video. Educate yourself, or continue to sperm shield.
    That's election fraud, not voter fraud.

    Most of us ITT agree that election fraud is a legit concern.

    Voter impersonation fraud, OTOH, is a well-studied problem of infinitessimal proportions. The purported cure is worse than the disease. Way worse.

    The main style of election fraud in the USA is voter purges, tbh.

    Voter Purge Rates Remain High, Analysis Finds

    New data reveal that counties with a history of voter discrimination have continued purging people from the rolls at elevated rates.

    After analyzing the 2019 EAC data, we found:

    • At least 17 million voters were purged nationwide between 2016 and 2018, similar to the number we saw between 2014 and 2016, but considerably higher than we saw between 2006 and 2008;
    • The median purge rate over the 2016–2018 period in jurisdictions previously subject to preclearance was 40 percent higher than the purge rate in jurisdictions that were not covered by Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act;
    • If purge rates in the counties that were covered by Section 5 were the same as the rates in non-Section 5 counties, as many as 1.1 million fewer individuals would have been removed from voter rolls between 2016 and 2018

    https://www.brennancenter.org/our-work/analysis-opinion/voter-purge-rates-remain-high-analysis-finds

    The ed up Cons ution ed up voting rights by allowing the states to define who could vote.

    Then the SCOTUS assholes, esp Kennedy who wrote the opinion essentialy "no racsism in America", ed up further by gutting VRA Sec 5.

    Then the current SCOTUS oligarchy s recently ruled partisan gerrymanering is OK.

    Why doesn't the Cons ution protect
    right to vote? Isn't voting a "God given" right?

    Because the Cons ution is a piece of , at very least in weaponized, bad-faith, corrupt practice.

    And the oligarchy has tipped American towards an untouchable, unsolvable status quo,

    so fixing the Cons ution, aka MAGA is impossible.

    what kind of (red) state removes you from the voting register, kills your right to vote, just because you skipped an election or two?

    the corrupt ones

    so they want to make voting MANDATORY for registered voters,

    but vehemently don't ever want to make voting mandatory for everybody of voting age.

    Shelby Co v US was a disaster for voters and a boon to minority GOP rule.The whole point of Section 5 preclearance was to prevent hypertechnical voter disenfranchisement

    Election fraud, but yeah.

    Voter fraud is a problem of statistically vanishing dimensions.

    Counting fraud, too. OH 2004, and leadwater Flint MI's 100Ks voters not counted in 2016.

    The oligarchy's coup d'etat continues unstoppably, with 5 huge assists from their SCOTUS s.

    Texas is one of ten states that do not have inline voter registration.

    Is there any good reason for Texas to keep doing it the hard way?

    Those efficiencies would translate into real savings for local government offices: A 2010 study found that Arizona, the first state to provide online voter registration, saw administrative costs drop from 83 cents per paper registration to 3 cents per online registration.

    Oligarchy's Repugs relentlessly chipping away at the myth of democracy, to be replaced by one-party authoritarian theocratic rule.

    This is how the American "experiment" is dying, "not with a bang, but with a whimper", and the dying is unstoppable.

    For the record, I'm for automatic voter registration at age 18, portable from state to state.

    slave state Repugs, hate-filled racist assholes

    =============

    Puzzling Eleventh Circuit Ruling on Florida’s Re-Enfranchisement of Felons

    The panel acknowledges that “there is nothing uncons utional about disenfranchising felons—even all felons, even for life.”

    But somehow it casts Florida’s system of re-enfranchisement as “punish[ing] a class of felons based only on their wealth.” (Emphasis added.)

    I don’t understand this characterization.

    What Florida is requiring is that
    felons satisfy the terms of their sentences WTF

    before their voting rights are restored.

    https://www.nationalreview.com/bench-memos/puzzling-eleventh-circuit-ruling-on-floridas-re-enfranchisement-of-felons/

    When they were SENTENCED, did the sentence require that the felons reimburse the state for costs before they could vote?

    The right trusts it with unlimited detention without trial, and extrajudicial killing of citizens.
