Ugh, don't remind me. Watching Splitter try (and fail) to post up Derek Fisher had to have been one of the most pathetic things I've ever witnessed on a basketball court.
I wanna see Splitter stand up to D Fisher this year.

That still pisses me off too.
Scoring is not something we are lacking. I don't hate the move, I just don't love it. We need a big who can show on the pick and roll, rebound, and defend in space. Curry does NONE of those things.
Curry shoots FTs marginally better than Splitter too.
He'd better. That's the minutes he's going to steal if he's here. He's too immobile to be anything but Duncan's backup. They can't play together defensively.
...which is why I am for flipping Splitter for Varejao. Do it R.C.
I'll take ANY 7 foot body over Blair and Bonner any day, and that's pretty damn sad.![]()
So what happens to the Spurs' frontcourt depth when Varejao goes down with his annual injury?
Don't you mean the two major freak injuries(broken wrist, torn tendon in ankle) he had the past two seasons? I'll take my chances. It's better than Splitter...who regularly bruises his vagina and has to sit for ten games at a time every time he does it.
And Splitter got another boo-boo again. More reason to trade him for Andy.
As sad as it sound, Curry is not an improvement on either.
He's 7 feet tall, that's an improvement to me...![]()
You can find 7 foot at a rec center gym. That guy won't help the Spurs much, either. People's expectations are too high. I think timvp is right in the ballpark when he said Curry had about a 5% chance of even making the team.
The elephant in the room here is that Curry has only played 24 games the last four years. 3 games in 08-09. 7 games in 09-10. No games in 10-11. 14 games in 11-12.
I like the move for "Baby Shaq" but no one has discussed the reason for this. Injuries? Just a huge string of DNPCD's?
(And, of course, bring on the elephant puns.)
If the Spurs simply wanted another 7 footer they could always get some stiff off the street.
Damn he lost weight
How many games will Thiago play the next 3 years?![]()
What's done is done. Curry is a Spur and I wish him the best. hope he works out and helps us in a positive way. What I take away from this is that the front office was looking to improve the team and not sitting around doing nothing.
With Curry losing all the weight , being a little more mature and being around professionals like the big 3, I think this will bring out his best effort for our benefit .
If Splitter can get his act together and be a more aggressive scorer around the basket and Blair keep rebounding, we should again be atop the league standings.

Not surprised if he bags the MIP award next season![]()
Jackie Butler 2
Reclamation project.
Low risk...high reward.
Anyone actually watch him significantly when he was playing well for the Bulls?
What I mean is what moves did he have in the post?
He is looking very lean. Has to be around 265-275 at the most.
