That was some bull , really.
That was some bull , really.
Never heard of that rule before
It was bull but it sure didn't lose them the game. 4 unearned runs never helps the cause
The more I see the highlights of this game the less I'm inclined to sympathize with Atlanta. They got their first 2 runs off of bull , where it should've been a K but they gave the batter timeout (even though he swung). Next pitch was a home run.
then the 3 egregious errors, especially Chipper's throw that blew a DP and paved the way for a 3-run inning. Braves lost this game, not the umps.
True but why should their own three errors deny ATL an opportunity to overcome said errors and comeback?
How many games did the Rangers comeback this year? Plenty. As did lots of other teams.
Bases loaded with 1 out while behind 6-3 is certainly a chance to comeback.
McCann was the would-be due up bases loaded batter and he certainly has decent pop. 20 HRs in 466 at bats and similar the last 5 years.
The consensus is that since there is an extra umpire for wildcard/playoff games that there was confusion on who was supposed to make the call. When one ump saw that the other was not going to make the call, it was then called late.
