the 7'6 was never really that good w/ or w/o the injuries, but that was like the last thing they were concerned about when they were using him basically as a cash cow rather than anything else.
hey, they didn't know how bad 7'6" man's injuries were, tbh...

clippas the kinda franchise that not gon win even if they gotta Howard,James and 1st pick in every draft. They bench good but it like givin a re a book on organic chemistry
purpleandpiss is just salty that the Lakers have no bench to speak of, tbh......
you be sour because you ain't gettin , stacey?
having a handful of too tired bags doesn't add much death to your bench imho. hill still decent but isn't he like 40yr old already? although crawfords scores some points off the bench, he kills the ball moving when he's on court which brings more negative rather than positive to his team imho
At the risk of sounding like a Homer, in regards to a deep bench, the Spurs have that market cornered and its not even close. If your a stats guy, its obvious.... if your a purist, its obvious..... No bench can match what the Spurs have.
Im not saying that equates to a championship, but as far as benches go, The Spurs have at LEAST 4 bench players that could be starters on any given team. I'd even go so far as to say the Spurs bench could be at least a compe ive NBA starting team on their own. What other teams bench can you say that for?

Manu
Jackson
Green
Splitter
Neal
That lineup dominated the last half of the season last year.... and thats excluding Kawhi Leanard, Boris Diaw, Dejuan Blair and Patty Mills.
Id be impressed if there was another team even remotely close in bench stats as the Spurs last year. The Spurs were playing the 2nd team almost as much as the starters, and many of those minutes where against the other teams starters.... and it was them that kept the Spurs in the win colum.

splitter a starter.
You spur fans. You're hilarious.
s boris
cheeseburger addict blair
But mostly...
patty mills
pull up the stats, I dare you.
That lineup was outscoring most of the starter teams in the NBA for the latter half of the season. It was a regular thing to see Spurs bench outscore the other teams bench by like 50+ points every game.
I notice you mosty ripped on the guys I mentioned after the main 2nd team lineup as well. Why dodge Manu, Jackson, Green and Neal? Oh yeah, the painfull memories of them ripping other teams a new asshole.
Again, pull up the stats against any other teams bench...... I DARE you.

a) it was because your starters, except for TP, sucked nuts.
b) blair doesn't count, he started 62 games last year
c) patty mills may have led the Olympics in scoring, but he did it on something like 30% shooting
d) splitter averaging just over 5 boards. and he's supposed to be a starting calibre big
e) stephen jackson cares more about his mixtape than he does ball
f) blair's official stats have him weighing 265 lbs. Even officially he's a fatass
g) danny who?
manu aside, kawhi lenard is your only upper-tier bench player. you've got some serviceable role guys, and you stack up better than a few other teams, but don't go trying to say it's not close when the clippers, nuggs, mavs, wolves and thunder are all staaaaaaacked as compared to the San Antonio Nursing Homes.
not sure if you noticed mcgee is your starting center..
not sure if you noticed how he beasted all over bynum last year...
he still sucks big time.. not to mention Koufos or Mozgov, all three combined aren't half of the player (soft and whatever) Splitter is.
Meh, we had too much three-point shooting last year and nowhere near enough defense, now it's starting to balance out, tbh....
I'm putting my bid in for the Lakers to have at least a middle of the pack bench this year. At all times, we'll have at least 1 or 2 of our big 4 on the floor making life easier for players like Jamison, Meeks, Hill, Sacre and a guy I hope makes the team: CDR. This dude was money in college playing with D-Rose at Memphis. He's bounced around the league and overseas, but he's like instant offense.
Take a look at him going off (30 pts) on the Heat (an elite defensive team):
The Lakers finally have a PG. If CDR makes the team, Kobe will finally have a solid backup. Him and Meeks should be solid for us tbh. This (potentially) is huge.
lol delusional spursfan still thinks Splitter is Jesus.
Face it, your Great White Hope is a Great Big Pussy
not really, he's a known quan y.. It's just that the he's decent while denver centers suck big time..
mcgee prolly dumbest er in nba but solid when he not acting stupid n Karl been coachin him well. he gotta potential to be true elite. bonner just gonna be 3pt shooting pf wit 5'5 wingspan n notin more than shooter off bench
butthurt over-the-hill team two period using fool
HH uses two periods. Hmm...
