My Tigers vs either SF or SL.

Pitching rotation for Tigers: Verlander, Fister, Sanchez, Scherzer, Verlander, Fister, and maybe Scherzer in game 7 instead of Sanchez.

Honestly I would've been scared of the Cards since the Tigers still don't have a legit closer and the Cards bats are clutch as .

I'm sure everyone had Delmon Young and Marco Scutaro as the favorites to win MVPs in the LCS round.

This series is interesting. I would say the Giants pitching overall was much more impressive than the Tigers in the LCS. The Yanks bats aren't hard to stop in October while the Cards bat are much better/tougher (Baltimore held them in check as well). The starting pitching I feel will each hold their own in this series. It will come down to the bullpens and that favors the Giants. I like the Giants in 6.

I like the Giants too. Tigers are known for choking after a long layoff. Saw the same thing in '06. They swept the A's, while the Cards won in 7 at Shea Stadium. Tigers pretty much were a disaster in that series. I expect something similar in this series. I'm sure Miggy and Prince have put on 20 more pounds during their layoff. I like Giants in 6 as well.

A sweep? Big call, Giants did play well in NLCS. Surely they'll win at least a game or 2

True, other than Verlander, who started Games 1 & 5 of the '06 World Series

I meant batters, but oh well. This is a different Verlander and a much better pitching squad than '06 anyways.

You would think that Verlander would be inspired by his ty outings in the 2006 World Series and pitch flawlessly in the WS. We shall see if it happens.

Verlander in choke mode per par.

What is it about the WS that makes certain players to choke so badly.

Verlander has thrown 60 pitches through just 3 innings. I would be surprise if he lasts two more.
