He had the Jays playing well above their talent level during his first stint in Toronto, I think he'll do a fine job with the talent he has now...

John Gibbons is from San Antonio. He played baseball in the Perrin Beitel baseball league as a kid in the mid 1970s. He is friends with Ricciardi who he played in the minors with.

My brothers played against his team in that baseball league during the summers of 1974 and 1975.
