i really don't understand though, why can't a coach sit whatever players he wants? Sitting De Colo, Bonner, and Joseph shouldn't be any different than sitting Manu, Duncan, and Parker. It's actually pretty ridiculous and disrespectful to the players that get benched regularly tbh that just because higher profile players are getting benched means tehre should be some sort of punishment.

Because the NBA wants to make money, you make less money with stars sitting.
