In honor of the 55th Anniversary of the Whopper Sandwich, from December 6 through December 9, Burger King is offering an Original Whopper Sandwich for just 55 cents, when you purchase any Whopper Sandwich, including the new Wisconsin White Cheddar Whopper or the y Angry Whopper, available for a limited-time-only.

“Burger King is very excited to celebrate this amazing milestone with the Whopper Sandwich lovers who have helped make it an American icon,” says Flavia Faugeres, executive vice president and global chief marketing officer, Burger King Worldwide. “For 55 years it’s been a fan favorite, and this weekend we encourage our guests to stop by and join in on the celebration.”

To celebrate its 55 year anniversary, a line of limited-time-only Whopper Sandwiches has been unveiled. The new limited-time-only menu offerings include:

· Wisconsin White Cheddar Whopper Sandwich ~ The newest addition to the fire-grilled menu includes the Wisconsin White Cheddar Whopper Sandwich prepared with fire-grilled, USDA-certified ground beef, topped with thick-cut hardwood smoked bacon, natural Wisconsin white cheddar cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, pickle slices, red onions, on a toasted sesame seed bun. Also available as a Whopper Jr. Sandwich. (Suggested retail price starts at $4.49 and $2.19 respectively)

· Angry Whopper Sandwich ~ BK invites guests to fire up their taste buds by bringing back the popular Angry Whopper Sandwich. Prepared with fire-grilled, USDA-certified ground beef, thick-cut hardwood smoked bacon, melted Habanero cheese, jalapeño slices, y onion petals, tomatoes, lettuce, and angry sauce, all served on a toasted sesame seed bun. Also available as a Whopper Jr. Sandwich. (Suggested retail price starts at $4.49 and $2.19 respectively)

· Seasoned Sweet Potato Curly Fries ~ A new “twist” on the popular sweet potato fries, this savory sweet alternative is seasoned to perfection with a blend of es and served hot and fresh each day. (Suggested retail price starts at $1.89)

This special 55th Anniversary offer to get one Original Whopper Sandwich for only 55 cents when you buy any Whopper Sandwich, including the new Wisconsin White Cheddar Whopper or the y Angry Whopper, is available at participating Burger King restaurants nationwide, while supplies last. Carls Jr burgers might be the pinnacle of fast food burgers though....the Western bacon burger and Santa Fe chicken are standouts.

me and some friends were headed to band practice and one guy stopped to get a whopper. he just got the burger. within 2 minutes it smelled like a cat shat in the ashtray. disgusting.

Fast food is bad for you but a whopper is a real burger in my opinion unlike the burgers that come from McDonald's. The Texas Double Whopper is usually the whopper I get if I go to Burger King.
