Quote from an anonymous source close to DE Jake McMillon (24/7):
"He's said that Texas is pretty much his biggest offer and this point and he really enjoyed everything in Austin," said the source. "He had a great time down there. From the sound of it, it is just a matter of time for him to commit. I'm almost certain it will happen very soon. I would be expecting it any time now."

DE Jarrett Johnson will be at Texas A&M this weekend for the Junior Day.
S Dylan Sumner-Gardner has been offered by LSU.
Mack needs to stay away from Dirty Martin's and start spending some more time in the gym. Damn son.
Ketch has a plan for the Director of Player Personel position, it's seems like a dream, but it's an interesting read. It's his first "thought".

OL Josh Cochran sustained a fracture in his left leg at yesterday's practice. He's done until fall.
“Texas contacted me about two weeks ago,” Patrick told Hookem.com. “It was the running backs coach, Larry Porter, and Coach (Manny) Diaz. They told my coaches that they really liked me and requested my latest highlight film. They’re going to evaluate it and then possibly offer me here soon.”
“I’m planning on visiting. I’ll most likely visit this summer, but possibly beforehand. I want to make it in for one of their camps though, so I can get some work in with Coach Porter,” said Patrick.
“I love their offensive style of play,” Patrick explained. “As a running back, it really sticks out to me. It’s very physical and I’m a physical back, so it suits me well. I love the fact that they use their running backs a lot. I also love the different ways they use them. That’s one of the main things I like about Texas.”
“They would definitely be a school I would highly consider,” he said. “If they offered me, it will be big. Texas really doesn’t offer kids in the state of Florida much, so if they do, that means they probably think a lot about me and believe I’m one of the top running backs in the country. I know that I would be very interested in them.”
“Florida is the early favorite for me,” said Patrick. “I would say that Florida State is a close second. Honestly though, I am in no rush. I’m open to everyone. Out of state doesn’t matter to me. I just want to go where I feel the most comfortable, wherever that may be.”

Quick quote from OL Joseph Paul of New Orleans, LA (OrangeBloods). Both he and CB Jermaine Roberts are expected to be in College Station this weekend:
"They're (Texas) definitely sitting at the top right now," Paul said. "I would say they're number one. They're more like a family there, the whole team is really close together."
TE Anthony Jones of Edna Karr has been offered by LSU.
Derick Roberson's tweet @priencecharming Alright for all the colleges that keep on offering me, yall can just stop I already know where I want to go to school at and that's "TEXAS"
Quotes from both earlier this week, per HornsNation.
“Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma State and Georgia Tech in that order,” Roberts said. "Texas is No. 1.”
“No. 1,” Paul said. “[The Longhorns] made that big of an impression.”
Damn, Callie Thompson![]()
He's an important one considering Texas didn't sign any DLs last cycle. 24/7 was at his playoff basketball game earlier this week and they said Roberson delayed the game because he broke the back of the rim after a dunk.
Thanks for that, Bloeddyr.
I believe Fournette is Roberts' best friend, so we'll see what happens. By that, I mean Roberts potentially following Fournette to Bama or LSU.
Maybe Rick Barnes needs him more than Mack.
Texas made the "top 15" for WR Demarre Kitt of Sandy Creek High School (Ga.) earlier today.
I would not put too much into it, just passing along.
A&M QB Jameill Showers is transferring to UTEP.
he will actually graduate in May and so,because he will be a graduate student at UTEP, he will get to play immediately. he'll actually have a homecoming game in november at college station when the ags will host the miners.
Good for him. Did not know he will have already graduated.

Latest with S Jamal Adams who will be in Austin this weekend. This is from A&M's 24/7 site:
“I’m not a big fan of junior days because you can’t get that one-on-one attention,” Adams said “This allows me to get down there, see the players and coaches again, and break down some stuff with the coaches again. I already have a good bond with those guys so I’m trying to make it even better. I just want to chill with everyone...Bonding that’s what I’m really trying to do.”
“I mean, I’m not really planning on committing when I go there (Texas), but I just want to figure out a few things,” he said. “I really just want to take my time and enjoy [the recruiting process] because a lot of people I know wish they could de-commit, I mean they can de-commit, but they wish they took their time. That makes me want to take my time with it.”
“That’s a plus too,” he said. “If I did choose Texas I would be going there with some guys (Heard, Gresham, Knox) that I’ve already bonded with and established great relationships with. They’ve tried to get me to commit already but I’m not ready to do that just yet.”
“I’m not for sure yet but I’m planning on it,” he said of possibly visiting College Station this spring. “I talked to A&M a week or two ago and we just talked about how they would give me a good opportunity to play and earn starting time as a freshman. That’s really the main key I got out of it.”
“Out of state it would be Ole Miss, Florida, Bama trying to get at me pretty hard, as well as Ohio State and Michigan,” he said. “I just have to break it down to the five that I want to take a trip to. I’m kind of warming up to USC as well. They’re starting to hit me up a lot on Facebook.”
“Finding out who the fake ones are and what coaches actually want you there is the hardest part,” he said. “Just talking with them, the communication is key. That’s the easiest way of finding who’s real and who really wants you, just communicating with all these coaches. I feel like there are some schools that are being real with me like A&M, Texas, OU, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss and Florida.”
Appreciate it. Keep us posted on who all shows up.
