S Payton Hendrix, a Red Oak transfer, is slowly getting more attention. Hendrix has five offers so far with Stanford and Nebraska as his biggest, per HornsNation.
Pretty nice film. Too bad Akina wasn't able to attend that practice with Chambers and hopefully he gets up there soon. Hendrix should get a summer camp invite at the very least.

I don't know if this is the answer you're looking for, but Diaz is the only guy who coaches LBs. Texas is currently looking for a defensive recruiting coordinator who keeps everything organized with defensive prospects. This new guy may have coaching/scouting experience, but he won't be a coach.

Alabama has offered 2015 DT Daylon Mack. Maybe this will slow his recruitment down a little bit.

Some quotes from TE Anthony Jones of New Orleans, LA (HornsNation):

“I love Texas and that’s where I hope to be one day,” Jones said. “That’s my dream school. That’s still my school. I really do like Texas. They haven’t offered me yet so I am just hoping to get the offer. That’s one of my goals is to get that school.”

“I talked to Coach Larry Porter two weeks ago and he was like, ‘I want to let you know that we are still on you high and am going to try to come see me this spring,' "
    Jones said.

“It’s not true that LSU is my top school,” he said.

“I spoke with Les Miles and saw them (LSU) scrimmage,” Jones said. “It was a great experience. I really enjoyed myself there. I got to hang out with some of the players there, chill, and relax myself. I got to see how the coaches interact with the players.”

Contra Costa CC's head coach gives an update on JUCO OL Desmond Harrison (HornsNation):

“He came up to re-emphasize that and check up on him and eyeball him," Carter said. "[Searels] let him know how important it is for him to finish up strong in the classroom and how they want him done by May. That way, he can get there in the summer and learn the playbook, learn the system so he can compete to play. He’s important to their program.”

“The main thing is, he’s taking a heavy academic load so he can graduate in May,”
Carter said. “He’s working out a couple days a week, getting in the weight room, but the biggest focus is academics and getting everything on point. He’s taking night classes and is doing a little bit of everything to finish up and get his degree.”

“He knows he has that type of potential and upside, but he can’t just show up and start at a Division I level without putting work in,”
Carter said. “He needs to get there this summer. He’s been really focusing on his classes. We knew that when he signed, but now we’ve got to make sure he’s finished.”

S John Bonney gives an update on his recruitment (HornsNation):

“They’re (Texas) not necessarily the favorite, but they’re definitely at the top of my list,”
Bonney said. “I know my dad really likes the situation and my mom likes their academics. It’s a school we’ve been by a lot and my dad really likes them and I do too. My dad likes [Duane] Akina as well. He’s a real good coach and has a great track record.”

“I’ll definitely check with my dad on which schools I’m going to,”
he said. “I don’t know what my schedule is going to be like with 7-on-7 and all that. But right now, I don’t know.”

“I feel really good about that (Akina recruiting him so hard),”
he said. “I feel like they (Texas) really need me.”

“I’m still going to take some time,”
he said. “I don’t feel like I need to make a decision right now. I haven’t got to that point yet.”

Quotes from the head coach of OL Jovan Pruitt of Dallas Bishop Dunne (HornsNation):

“I think they’re (Texas) very interested in him,”
Johnson said. “Jovan has transformed his body since the last time he talked to them. He went to their camp last year but was still sloppy in his technique."

“There’s just not a lot of guys his size at 6-6, and he’s up to 290 now. You just don’t see them that athletic. He’s one of the best tackles in this class. That’s not coming from me, that’s coming from coaches we’ve talked to.”

“Once he gets out there (Austin), I do think they’ll extend an offer to him,”
    Johnson said.

Update on 2015 LB Malik Jefferson (HornsNation):

“Just because I’ve visited Texas and there’s so much more available down there, it would be Texas right now if I did have to commit,” he said.

“They follow the [contact] rules and I understand that, but they did watch me practice a little bit and watched me do power cleans and some shuttle drills,” Jefferson said. “That went good.”

“I love the way he (Manny Diaz) coaches, and even away from football he’s a great life mentor,”
Jefferson said. “I know if anything happened, he’d be a great mentor and coach for me.”

“Nope. I’m going to stick to my plan and wait until the time comes (to make a decision),”
    he said.

“The offers motivate me every day,”
he said. “Now I know I’m on a top pedestal and I have to play to a high-level standard if I really want to play college ball.”

More quotes from the guardian of DE/LB Sione Teuhema and 2015 OL Maea Teuhema (24/7):

“We're about 75-percent of the way there,” Taliaferro said. “We know when it's going to happen, we're still figuring out what the best way would be for them to actually announce.”

“Texas is the perfect fit,” Taliaferro said. “When you go down the line, they offer every degree there is to get, so you can major in anything. Secondly, with football they have struggled the last couple of years, but they've got the No. 1 running back in nation in Johnathan Gray, so I'd expect that to change.”

“They (Texas) want to run the ball and with Maea blocking they feel it will help,”
Taliaferro said. “They haven't made a commitment to him that he'll start, but they've made a commitment to him that he'll have a chance to play. If you want to go to the NFL, which he does, Texas is one of those schools up there with LSU and Ohio State that turn out more NFL guys than anybody.”

“You look at Brian Orakpo, Henry Melton, Alex Okafor and then Jackson Jeffcoat,”
Taliaferro said. “They all were either drafted high or will be drafted high. They've done a good job of letting Sione know he's got a path to the NFL at Texas.”

“It we decide we need to go to Alabama then we'll find a way to make it happen,”
Taliaferro said. “If we don't, and they want them, they can call and offer over the phone like everyone else has, or come see them themselves and we'll go from there.”

“They feel at home there, but it's going come down to what they decide for themselves,” Taliaferro said. “My job has been to arm them with the as much information as I can so they can make the best decision possible."

“I'll say this though,” he added, “Texas is the perfect fit for what we're trying to get accomplished.”

Quick quotes from S Arrion Springs of San Antonio Roosevelt (24/7):

“I never thought Texas would be this interested,” Springs said. “With Coach (Duane) Akina, he's such a great coach and he only goes after the best. The fact that he's recruiting me is such a big honor and they've continued to move up my list.”

“Trey (Lealaimatatao) is always in my ear,” Springs said. “We text and talk a lot and he's always telling me I need to go to Texas. Jalen Campbell has been in my ear, too. He's pumped about going to Texas.”

Latest with 2015 S Larry Pryor of Sulphur Springs (24/7):

“Coach (Stacey) Searels stopped by to see me on Thursday,” Pryor told Hookem.com. “He came to watch us workout. I just kind of waved at him because I really can't do much, but I definitely knew he was there.”

“My coaches said one of the main things he talked about was getting me back on campus there in Austin,” Pryor said. “He wanted to know if I could come down in June for something they’re having there. I'll most likely see him there then.”

“He left me with a picture about Texas being the real DBU,” he said. “It had all the info about what they have done and accomplished there at Texas with their defensive backs.”

2015 DT Daylon Mack speaks on his recruitment after being ready to commit to A&M, and then received an Alabama offer (24/7):

“My coach told me that Alabama had expressed a lot of interest in me and they wanted to talk to me,” explained Mack. “So I called up Coach (Billy) Napier and he said that they liked my film and the way that I played and wanted to offer me a scholarship and they did. It means a whole lot to me to have an offer from a top tier school like that.”

“That offer makes my recruitment slow way down,” Mack said. “My parents have been telling me this whole time that I have been rushing things, so I’m just going to slow down and not think about committing anytime soon. I’m just going to take my time and enjoy the entire recruiting process. I just want to enjoy it.”

“Right now Texas A&M is still my number one,”
Mack told Hookem.com. “Then I would say its Alabama and Texas as my number two choices for now. Those two are tied for second.”

“I am definitely going to visit Alabama,” said Mack. “I don’t know when yet, but hopefully I can sometime soon. I will visit there, along with Texas and Texas A&M again. I’ll visit all three during the summer.”

More from 2015 WR DaMarkus Lodge of Cedar Hill (24/7):

“I didn’t believe it at first,” said Lodge. “I thought he was joking or something. I figured I might get one later on sometime, but not right then. I was shocked I guess you could say. I was very surprised they offered this early.”

“I like Texas a lot,” he said. “They’re a great school and they always have a lot of success on the field. I could see myself playing there for sure.”

“I can’t deny they’re one of my favorite schools,” explained Lodge. “When Texas looks at you and you’re from the state of Texas, that’s a big deal. When they offer you though, it’s an even bigger deal. You have to really think about that offer and that is what I’m doing. They have given me a lot to consider at this point, so I’m looking very closely at them."

“They’re just a great college with a great tradition,” he added. “I like their offense a lot as well and like what they’re doing as a team. Plus they offer a top education which is important to me,” he added.

That's good new, I have a feeling aggsy will have a less than stellar year with about 3 to 4 losses (Bama, LSU, Ole Miss, and bowl game) for him to slow it down is great for us, but not if Alabama is going to win another championship.

    OL Demetrius Knox is gone.

"I decommitted from Texas. I didn't feel it was the right place for me anymore. I'm a person who likes to travel. I don't like to stay in one place for too long. I have been living in Texas since the seventh grade. I've lived in the north, I've lived in the south. Now it's time for me to pick a coast - California or Florida."

LOL!! Wow..this kid should just go JUCO so he can transfer after 2 years...better early than late, especially since the writing has been all over the wall with this one.
I guess it's just a matter of time for Gresham to follow or does he start making his own decisions now?
