Damn right
Looks like an iPhone , lol
Not sure if Im gonna root lol ... maybe not right away.
Stock S4 has features that required rooting or using a launcher on HTC - such as the menu button or the kill-all in the mul asking.
But yeah, someday it's gonna get rooted, so I can enjoy flashing a ROM straight in the recovery instead of having to flash the kernel first and then go to recovery and flash rom ..... lol HTC.
Plus the Canadian S4 has an unlocked bootloader (USA), should be very easy to root

How much was the htc w/3 year contract?
2 year contract with my Galaxy S4 tbh
And back when I had my HTC One S, we didnt have the choice TBH
CRTC![]()
Yup. HTC One X+ I got in January is under a 3 year plan, lol. At least it's a corporate plan, and I believe I'm due for an upgrade in summer 2015.
3 year contract? If you save $20 a month in that span you can by a new phone outright and not have to worry about signing another one
Again, its 2 years now
But yeah we had no choice before
UPS just called
Thanks God there is someone at my building' office
Gonna pick it up after work

lol, nice
let us know when you regain your manhood
Staying stock or slapping AOSP on it?
I will enjoy the phone and not gonna root it right away ; I like the fact that the kill all button is in the mul asking, unlike some other Android phones (had to flash AOSP roms for that feature on my HTC lol)
But yeah rooting is on my list
You used Mottochopper (bat file method) right ?
There is another easy method (CF autoroot) for Canadian phones that got the latest official firmware update; I downloaded the update but havent installed it yet
Regardless of the method I decide to use (well it will depend on wether I decide to update firmware or not), rooting this phone seems to be VERY easy
(lol HTC and American S4)
AOSP ? I .........think not
It's light and fast, but it's pretty ty feature-wise; and don't get me started on AOSP camera
After I decide to root, I'll be looking for the best Touchwiz based ROM
Yeah I used motochopper the first time, took like 30 seconds to root. I'm using CF autoroot now (takes 2 minutes with Odin flash); apparently it's a better root (had no problems with either).
Why are you using CF now ?
You said its a better root, but why?
By the way does the S4 have dual boot ?
Simple, I used motochopper until I sent my phone in. When I got it back i decided to get CF's version.
From what I understand, motochopper is an exploit and can be patched anytime (some phones with OTA update I think were already blocked). CF acceses the par ion to root and apparently works forever.
Check for dual booting here
Thanks
And damn its gonna be nice to flash roms without having to flash kernel separately (you-know-who, I'm looking at you)
Lol, I didn't even know that was a thing until my one x+. I was so confused.
You should check out the amount of pimped out TW ROMs, tbh (MDOB, Graviton, GoldenEye, Spectrum). Call recording, debloated, App2sd, etc.
