I went from the iphone 4 to the HTC One S; I was like lolapple
I imagine going from an iPhone to the S4 must be quite a shock![]()
So resistanze
Have you played with the TW rom ?
Yeah - I installed it last night (zipaligned, deodexed, rooted stock TW).
It's not really a hog on resources, tbh (at boot 800-900MB of RAM used vs. 600-700MB for CM). Phone is probably just as snappy as CM even while using Nova Launcher.
But got damn it's pretty ugly in terms of notification center, menu screen, etc. It barely looks better than the TW I had for Gingerbread on my S2. I ed around with air gestures and eye scroll etc. and the only one I'd use is Smart Stay (keeping screen on by watching it). Need more time with the camera too see how much better it is.
Overall, I need at least a re-skinned TW ROM or I'll go back to CM.
Yeah there must or should be themable TW roms
Sense ROMS are themable, so hopefully you find one with such tweaking possibilities
I like the AOSP look, its really nice, but damn I'm growing tired of it lol
Camera should be TW imo

Yeah I used to have skinned TW ROMs. I think one is in early development, but it's stupid they made a minor difference in the USA and Canadian versions of the S4 (so requires a separate ROM or a patch). On top of that the US version still has its bootloader locked, so it requires a special hack on all ROMs.
That's how I feel except I went from the 3GS
I still haven't messed with making my home screen all pretty. I just use Buzz Launcher. I think that's the lazy way?
these units are still 700bucks outright, SG3 is about 400-450![]()
can always suck dik on the corner you fkn wanker
Went back to CM
Picture quality wasn't really different to me and all the features (dual shooting, story mode etc) is useless for me.
TW and it's GB theme is too ugly, I'm sorry. Smart Stay is the only useful feature I used (lol @ Eye Scroll - should be called ty head tilt scroll).
Yeah AOSP roms FTW TBH
Tried the Sense 5 rom, it's nice but only Android 4.1.2
By the way, I called Fido and I would have to pay 300$ just for a device upgrade
them, I'll buy that outright or off Kijiji or Craiglist; I'm in no rush to get one anyway
man, i still use CM. i'm on the skyrocket and i'm still on a late April nightly build. nightlies got a little crazy there and i quite updating them. i'm too lazy to find out what works now. that's the only thing i'm starting to get annoyed with for these ROM's.
Try Vanilla Rootbox
There's a recent RC build that seems to be pretty stable. Load it up, bro.
Magna Carta Holy Grail![]()

http://www.nytimes.com/2013/07/05/ar...=tw-share&_r=0Samsung bought a million downloads of the album, for $5 each, to be given away on July 4 — five days before the album’s official release — through a mobile application, JAY Z Magna Carta, on certain Samsung models. It’s an ugly piece of software.
It demands permissions, including reading the phone’s status and iden y, which made some users, notably the rapper Killer Mike, su ious: Does Jay-Z really need to log my calls? It also gathers “accounts,” the e-mail addresses and social-media user names connected to the phone. Those permissions are often part of a typical app package. This one got worse.
When installed, it demanded a working log in to Facebook or Twitter and permission to post on the account. “We would like fans to share the content through social networking sites,” a Jay-Z spokeswoman said by e-mail. (E-mail to Samsung Mobile’s customer service address for the app was returned as undeliverable throughout Wednesday.) But the app was more coercive.
Yeah, I installed it, downloaded it, uninstalled app, and found tracks in my Music folder.
Then I ended up downloading a 320 kbps version anyways (app version is only 128 kbps).
Samsung allegedly fudging benchmark numbers:

Yup, hence the only benchmark numbers I trust are from AnandTech.
ok es
I'm getting the Galaxy S4 next week
I'm under contract with Fido, but not eligible yet for an upgrade (stupid 3 year contracts), so I would have had to pay 260$ early cancellation fees
But with Fido now belonging to Rogers, I made the switch to Rogers so I could avoid to pay those fees (as long as I keep my number and take a 2 year contract ... still better than 3 years)
Also , the phone will cost me 99$ instead of 179 $
Stupid me forgot to give my office as a delivery address instead of home
Anyway, adios HTC and you
I'm finally getting the Galaxy S4![]()
SG4 is about 660 outright down here,
while the iphone5 16gb clearance models are around 640.....
very hard to pick from,
then again u can always buy from a grey importer which only has 1yr warranty (100bucks cheaper) compared to local brick and mortar stores where they give u 2 YR samsung warranty...stuck between is the extra warranty worth it for 100bucks, since when do anyone ever got any breakdowns with their smartphones?
Lol. Welcome to the club. Cheap price on the phone, I paid 199
