The greatest socialist (which is almost a communist) was probably Josip Broz o, the president of ex Yugoslavia. He shove the middle finger to Stalin about 1947 or 1948 when he did not want Yugoslavia to become a part of "greater USSR", formed Non-Aligned Movement and shove it to the cold war and bi-polar world protagonists, and by the way, made a very pleasant living in Yugoslavia till his death in 1980.
Of course now in the media, he was a totalitarist and a dictator...which is capitalistically biased ...
